[Q] In call sound issues topic

I love my moto x don't get me wrong but ever since day one I'd have people I call complaining that they can't hear me or there was a wired echo.

At first I thought it might have been a poor signal but the more it went on I realised it was an issue with the phone. It seems to be effecting calls in two ways. Firstly it clips the words I am saying by muting the microphone just before I stop talking. Secondly sometimes it makes my voice sound really quiet and echoey.

I've looked online and people seem to think its due to an issue with noise reduction which is being to over aggressive. But there is no way to adjust it.

I have now contacted Motorola and they suggested doing a wipe cache, booting into safe mode and testing calls and lastly a factory reset. I've now done all of these and since the factory reset havnt had the issue where my voice goes really quiet and echoey but I am having the issue where the mic is muted to the other person when I stop talking. So sort of like a conversation a would sound using a walky talky. I don't think its clipping my voice now. However I'd really appreciate it if other moto x users could let me know if they (Or more specifically the person they are calling) get this effect when making calls? Because if not it surely points to the fact that my phone has a hardware issue and needs to be returned.

How to Disable Head Up Notification for incoming call?? topic

I have moto E running pac rom. One of the problem is that whenever any calls comes in between app it shows up in head up notification. I want to disable it so that when any call comes it open in full screen. Kindly help me in disabling head ups notification for incoming calls.

Default call log help topic

Anyone know how to change the default call log settings? It's on all calls and messages. I like to have mine on all calls as default. I can change it but it doesn't stick and always goes back to all calls and messages. I swear on my note 3 I was able to set all calls as default.

Adding your own custom backgrounds:
Take your downloaded image, rename it to picture_unknown.png
You may use a .jpg image. However, the image has to RENAMED to a .png first.
Make a copy of one of the Caller.ID.BG...zip files, open it with a zip file manager and insert your file into the folder vrtheme/system/app/LegacyInCallUI/LegacyInCallUI.apk/res/drawable-sw360dp-xxhdpi-v13, replacing the existing one.

Additional Note:
I can't say exactly the dimensions required for the background, experiment and report back what seems to be the ideal size otherwise the phone will do its best to resize the image to fit the screen properly.

Android Call Recording App topic

I have found one android call recorder application, This application facilitates you with an option of auto upload which allows you to mechanically upload files on server, including Google drive, Dropbox, Gmail inbox, Evernote and sound loud. For this, you need to enable 3 options from the default setting menu which allows you to store files automatically. This option makes expedient for users to access files afterwards. Also, this application has the ability to record files in different formats like WAV, 3GPP, AMR, MP4 & MP3.

File to edit to change call forwarding codes? topic

What file can I edit in gear manager so that it will dial *72 for activation and *720 for deact........for some reason it keeps dialing *28 to activate and *38 deactive... I keep getting errors that the code is an invaild code switch error...etc

[Q] Can't call, play music, watch videos, play games topic

I use a Samsung Galaxy S4 (SGH-I337M Canadian) and have for about 2 years now. I have rooted and ran custom roms the entire time and ran into little to now problems. I was on Danvdh's GPE Rom when I decided to try to encrypt my phone because of Canada's law where cops are allowed to search your phone if you are pulled over.

I left my phone encrypting for hours and it just got stuck on the boot screen and later messaged me saying encryption failed. I had to wipe my phone back to stock using Odin but when I reinstalled my rom again, my dialer app would become laggy and say I have no service and crash, my music app would crash, my video apps would crash, and on my stock samsung rom I couldn't use wifi. I have no idea on how to fix this and would eally enjoy some help. I tried all I could think of to fix this.

Screen works when off in call. topic

Latest Elemental X Kernel ( did the same on stock before ).
Latest Sinless rom ( did it before I think... not 100% sure ).

When on a call, I can stand in the bathroom in the dark in front of a mirror and see that my screen is in fact "black/off" due to proximity sensor. However, the screen still works.. I can slide my ear down the phone, pull the phone from my face .. screen lights up, and yep, notification's are pulled down. I can also hear it do the little "tick" sound if I move my face around on the screen before removing it from my ear ( the screen was touched, button pressed etc ).

So the screen goes black from the proximity sensor, but still appears to accept "touches". If I turn the screen off while in a call with the power button, this does not happen. Anyone else getting this?

Hello! I recently found Boldbeast for recording calls through the normal phone dialer, but I can't find anything that will record calls placed or received through the Hangouts Dialer. Is this possible in any way?

Help phone call not working if in normal mode topic

I'm using eXistenz Ultimate 3.00. I cannot make phone calls normally. When i call, the call goes through but i cant hear the recipient nor can they hear me. However, when i turn it into speaker mode, i can hear them fine. I suspect its something to do with one of the settings as when i reset my phone and reinstalled the rom, it worked. But once i fiddled with the settings something went wrong. I don't know which setting is causing the problem or even if the settings are the problem. Please help

[APP][FIX] Notification panel opening problem during phone call FIXED topic

OnePlus One's screen has some bugs. One them is BACON-347 (https://jira.cyanogenmod.org/browse/BACON-347) The first touch in any location while a phone call, pulls down the notification panel. This app can fix notificaiton panel opening problem while a phone call.

Until this post 1000+ users installed and 89 of them gave 4.66 point for review. According to Flurry, this app fixed this problem more than 221,000+ times (5k in a day).

What is the problem: The problem is shown in the BACON-347 (https://jira.cyanogenmod.org/browse/BACON-347). There is some ghost touch above status bar which cause to open notification panel. After first touch to screen, phone assume that these two touches releated (Your touch and ghost touch) and tell to system there is a slide from first touch to second one. This action opens the notification panel. But if the second touch is for hang up to call phone cant do that because it assume that you want to open notification.

How this app works: During a phone call, this app put a view above status bar and absorbs the effect of ghost touch(When this happened, fix count increase) After user's first touch, if user try to hang up call, app assists user and close the call. But if user touch any other position other than close button, app closes and dont open the notification panel. That is all.

[Q] call recording app help! topic

Call recording apps worked perfect on my Z1, mainly I could hear both my voice and and others perfectly. But every call recorder app I've tried with my z ultra I've had no such luck. My end is always done, there end almost inaudible. Does anyone have a call recording app that works both ways?

call forwarding from gear to phone topic

In gear manager or on the gear itself, there is an option you can forward cell phone call in to gear S.
But I wondering if there is a way to forward gear S call to cell phone?

[Q] Can I get rid of "Call in progress shortcut"? topic

I am wanted to rid of the small square "Call in progress shortcut" permanently. During a call, I know you can long press the square and it will give you the message "Hide the call in progress shortcut from your screen?" and it will remove it for that call. Is there not a way to make that never pop up again? It seems redundant to have that square at the top left corner of the screen, when all I have to do is swipe down to get to shortcuts to mute or end the call. I have searched the googles and found nothing. Any help would be appreciated. I'm sure it's a simple setting that I'm missing. Thanks!

Nexus 9 tablet looses microphone during call topic

Hello everyone,
I will be talking for 1-2 minutes and my microphone will just stop transmitting. The receiver says she hears a "clapping" noise every time she says a word once the mic goes out (doesn't hear it when the mic is working or when she doesn't talk, only when talking with the mic not working). Will start anywhere between 1-2 minutes into the call up to around 10 minutes. Have never really made it past 10 minutes.

hey guys so im trying to get a little help squashing this bug on 5.0, every aosp rom i use on my verizon lg g3 has this annoying call forwarding bug that i cant seem to get rid of, the bug appears when i use mobile data, when i use wifi its fine, can anyone shed some light on this bug, im sure at least a few people other than me have experienced this as well. any help is appreciated, thanks

[Q] Outgoing call with car Bluetooth topic

Anybody know how to initiate outgoing phone calls on a N6 without having to swipe to unlock the phone first? I can make outgoing calls only after I swipe to unlock which really defeats the purpose if I have to fumble around with the phone before making a call.
The bluetooth connection is working fine, the phone has a pin lock but the car's bluetooth is setup as a trusted device and, when in the car, I can just swipe and it unlocks without asking for a pin.
I've searched around and found a lot of people asking the same question about Samsung devices doing this and apparently there's a Samsung call setting for outgoing call conditions. I haven't found any similar setting on a stock N6.
I'm running an unmodified N6 with 5.0.1.

Any help would be really appreciated
