[Q] Phone goes silent automatically topic

I miss a lot of calls because my phone will switch to silent mode automatically. Last night I checked it, put it on the table and this morning I had missed two calls and messages it was on silent. Is there a way to at least have it vibrate when in the silent mode? I love this phone but his is a big problem for me.

i just got my nexus 6 yesterday.. at night i like to put my cell phones in silent mode.. with the alarm only active.. but i dont see how to do that with N6..
how do i put N6 into silent mode, where calls and notifications are silent with now vibration. only alarm is active..

Is there a way of putting the phone on silent without having to 'open' the phone and then use the volume keys?

I'm coming from an iphone and in meetings I just used to slide a switch. I know the Z3 doesn't have that of course - but is there a way of doing it without waking the phone?

SINCE THERE IS NO SILENT MOD ON LOLLIPOP ,I HAVE FOUND A WAY TO GET IT , I GOT "Silent Mode Widget" BY "Michal Repasek" on google play .turn on silent mode with this widget ,its working fine on my android l devices ,give it a try guyes .

I would like to share that you can activate silent mode in Lollipop using a third party app.
The one I use is Silent on charge. You can also use widget.

I just upgraded to a Lollipop ROM and I'm wondering is there a way using Tasker to put the phone into silent? (Or the "none" notification setting) Currently all my old profiles just put it on vibrate.

EDIT: Got it. There's an option for "interrupt mode" under audio.
