How is your Edge signal strength??? topic

I was having rather poor signal strength from my Edge. (no more than 2 bars at most) At first I was really concerned that the rooting may have some effect on it?? Or maybe even the quality of my local Vodafone. However after do the following steps....suddenly I get full bars (always):

Go to Setting --> more networks ---> Mobile network ----> change to WCDMA/GSM auto instead of the LTE/WCDMA/GSM

From what I have found, the mobile internet connection is still fast (dont see obvious difference with the LTE) and in fact it seem the battery life last a little longer. I guess I will just keep to this setting.

[Q] Twitter Trend Edge App Region topic

So I'm really happy with my Note Edge, and ordered one from a reputable online retailer two weeks ago and received a French phone - but as I'm in the UK, the phone is designed for any EU country, so for example all instructions are in English, French and other EU languages. When setting up my phone, I of course made sure that everything was set up in English and that location was set up as UK.

BUT - the Twitter app for the Edge screen for some reason thinks I'm in France, and on launching the app it starts for 1-2 seconds in English but then starts to show French trends. I have tried everything - installing the full Twitter app and logging on, turning on my location, turning the Twitter Edge app off and on..etc - but to no avail. I emailed Samsung who told me they don't provide support for 3rd party apps, even though the Twitter Trend app came pre-installed, cannot be uninstalled, and is one of the key apps used by Samsung to showcase the phone. The only thing I haven't tried is to do a factory reset, which is such a hassle to do considering how long it took me to customise every minute detail of the phone.

It would be much-appreciated if anyone has any suggestions, and basically I think that somewhere on the phone it is telling the app that I am in France. If the Twitter Trend Edge screen app had its own settings that would be easy - but it doesn't and everywhere else I can find the location has been set to UK.

Verizon Note Edge Developer Edition Coming Soon topic

The note edge just dropped one verizon i know and i have already went in and played with a live demo. Phone isnt bad but isnt spectacular over my note 4. My question is now with the developer edition edge can the developers take advantage of root/recovery to really make the panel come to life??

[Q] VZW Note Edge Safe Mode topic

hi friends, hope all is well with ya. i have a question, for anyone else with a VZW Note Edge that they obtained on release date or shortly afterwards. does anyone else have a phone that's booting in Safe Mode, and will NOT exit out of Safe Mode whatsoever? I had some trouble activating it (despite VZW's simple instructions of just popping the new SIM in the phone and turning it on) so i got that taken care of, but even when I first booted it up initially, it was still in Safe Mode. There's a notification in the drop down bar stating, "Safe Mode is enabled" and to tap it to disable Safe Mode, which essentially just restarts the phone. and every time it boots back up, it's still in Safe Mode, which restricts any/all customization whatsoever, and what is the point of having a phone if you can't customize it. thankfully i still have my Note 4 handy if necessary, and i've backed everything up with VZW's cloud, Google + photos, SMS Backup/Restore for texts and Helium for my game data. i've done a battery pull, checked the settings, powered it off and on, performed a factory reset, and i can't find anything that will disable it, other than the predetermined instructions that Samsung has on the VZW variant page (http://www.samsung.com/us/support/ow...SM-N915VZKEVZW). turning to you guys first before i decide to harass customer service and/or take a trip to a VZW store to handle it in person. is anyone else having this issue? thoughts? ideas?
