USB port broken topic

hello, i have a working ole htc hd2 and decided to make a use of it so i wanted to make it even more useful but puting andriod on it but how ever i discovered the usb port does not work so i want to service the phone but the guy at the service store afer opening the phone said that this is unrecoverable unless i buy a new motherboard with costs 50 euro but im not spending 50 euro on a phone im gonna rearly use and this probelm broughed me here is there i way that i can flash the custom firmware to be able to boot android from sd?

Yes, yes, I wasn't paying attention and managed to plug the live power supply into the MOJO's headphone port. And quite easily, I must add.

For peace of mind: could someone more technically inclined tell me if I (potentially) damaged anything? Everything appears to still be working, and I assume the dc connector wouldn't be able to complete a circuit in the headphone port, but if anyone knows for sure, let me know.

Trouble with charging---USB Port broken? topic

Since 4 Days i experienced something weird.
When i want to charge my Note 4 i connect the Fast Charger to it. It is recognized as Fast Charging devioce and the device starts loading. 5 seconds later the device stops charging, 1 sec after that it restarts charging. Then it stops after 3 seconds and then again it starts. Sometimes my note (instead of charging) opens the Gear Vr app or tells me it is connected with a dockingstation.
So i tried using my Galaxy s5 charger. the problem goes on...charging..stop..charging..stop...charging..st op..so i looked at my usb port and cleaned it....nothing..no dirt...with the s5 charger iam able to find a position in which the phone starts to charge.

any suggestions?

Im looking to see if its possible and maybe getting some Dev's discussing It.

Im not expecting this to be developed just that the possibility if their is any be explored

Im also not talking about 100% compatibility (for either the games available or phones) as either of those options are ridiculous (the latter is more so IMO )

S Duos 3 is released . Our s duos has fair hardware but it does not have any latest Android os . It's still running on the laggy ICS which is almost outdated . We had some kk port attempts but none of it was good (buggy versions ) . I created this thread to wake up every one to make it possible. Now I am calling all developers for doing this . If we can make an open source base rom , then it's better for each developers to mod it and rebrand to their own names . But it is possible only if have a strong base . Anyway I am gonna mention some developers who did already given contributions to s duos .

I bought an external Battery Pack, because the Nexus 5 hasnt a very good, the Battery Pack has two Ports, one with 1A and the other with 2.1 A, but which should I use?

Out of the blue my phone can no longer get recognized by any of the 3 PCs that I have, getting a message "USB Device Not Recognized".
The USB connection mode choice window on the phone does not pop up. The phone does go into charging mode, with LED and taskbar icon working.

Things I've tried:
1. Multiple USB cords (original Sony one, cheap Amazon one, bunch of others). Nexus 4 gets recognized instantly using all of these on all 3 PCs.
2. Multiple PCs and multiple USB ports on different hubs.
3. Restarted the phone and all PCs to no avail.
4. Factory reset the phone.
5. Tried manually setting the MTP mode in settings prior/after o connecting the phone.

Any other ideas?

Charging port barely charging topic

Hello all...

Ive had my m8 since the end of april. It's worked and charged fine up until last Thursday. I started to notice that when I have it plugged in, the led will come on and it'll say it's charging, but it doesn't actually charge, most of the time it continued to decrease. After playing with different cables and the gsam app I found that it won't actually charge unless I put pressure or weight on top of the end of the cable that is plugged in to my phone. Even then, I have to mess with it quite a bit and hope when I wake up, it'll be charged.

This has become increasingly frustrating every time I plug it in to charge now. Has anyone else experienced this problem with your device? Also does anyone know of a fix, besides paying the 9 to get it replaced with my ATT insurance plan? I really just want to wait until around April and get a new phone, preferably with a snapdragon 810 processor, however, at this point, I don't think I can make it until then.

Hey Guys, Im sorry for the newbie question but I have a Samsung galaxy S4 thats stuck on the ATT logo and Im trying to reload the phones stock ROM onto it.

Ive gone through and wiped out all the cache and set it back to factory settings but that hasnt worked. So Now I have found my stock rom to upload it and ODIN cant communicate with it with the phone in download mode.

I can get into Recovery mode also but for whatever reason, I cant get ODIN to communicate to it.

Any help is appreciated.
