Keep root and upgrade to 5.0.1? topic

Hello,

Sorry for the noob question, but I was wondering on how to keep root through this update. Do I just take the update? Or do I have to wait for another root from chainfire for the new update?

I keep getting 2 lock screen showing up on 5.0.2 topic

I keep getting 2 lock screen showing up on 5.0.2. One is default and another one I want to use is Next Lock Screen. How do you change my lock screen to Next without the default popping up?

(Q) How can I keep bluetooth on? topic

How do I keep bluetooth on all the time? I have an android wear watch and when I go out of range of bluetooth then come back in range the phone has usually turned bluetooth off. Is there any way to keep it from doing that?

[Q] AOSP Builds keep freezing topic

Hi Guys,

I'm currently in the process of building AOSP to just flash a basic image onto a Nexus 7.

I've done the "repo sync" to get all the relative files, and have initialized the build environment exactly as the tutorials on the Android development site asks, including downloading proprietary drivers, however whenever i'm trying to do my first "make", it either gives me an error saying a random make file received a kill signal, or my machine just freezes.

As of writing this a build has been going for 7 hours (Is this normal?) and the machine just freezes up.

Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated, i'm unsure of how to try and fix what's happening

I just got my Shield Tablet and rooted it. I keep getting two OTA notifications, one says ROM Update the other says Tegra Update. Will I keep root of I do the OTA updates?

I'd like to get a recovery added, but it seems that all the recoveries are incomplete. Is there a method to install recovery without a separate computer?

Keep ambient display blinking for notifications until dismissed? topic

Hi Guys

When a notifications arrives and ambient display is enabled it is showed in the display but it only "blinks" like 3 times. Is there a way to keep it blinking until notifications are dismissed without rooting?

I have CM12 Maclaw , and TWRP Recovery.
I made a nandro backup with TWRP.
I want to revert and stay in stock Rom my S3 mini model is I8190L, from Latin America, company name Personal.
I want still have root access.
how i can make this, i must do a clean install and flash which file (were i get it)?
Other thing if i am in stock rom i can easily go to cm maclaw rom or stock rom restoring a nandro backup that i have storage for example? is this possible ?

I know that when you have less than a certain amount of posts all your posts are moved to a Q&A section. How many posts do i need to prevent this. Also, would like to create a signature. Do i need a certain amount of posts for this as well? If so, how many? My profile shows that i only have 4 posts, but when i look at all my posts i have 10+.

Ive probably gotten 50 texts from 9485 they wont stop . I think it has to do something with itson or something, im on a stockish rom appreciate any help thanks

Date and time keep changing topic

Hi.
Since installing cm12 optimized for s4 i9505 I am having a mild headache with date and time. They keep changing and its messed up my calendar, missing appointments etc. I have tried going back to cm m12 but still the same problem. Help!

[Q] Keep facebook session between app sessions topic

I know it should go to the software development but I don't have access rights so I got a message to post my question here, I hope this is the right place.

I know how to login to Facebook and use its info but I don't understand how to keep this session alive if the user presses the home button and opens my app again. There are a lot of functions related to session like getActiveSession, openSessionFromCache etc. but that's only making me more confused.

I have one activity that holds the different fragments when they're needed so I guess I should do something in MainActivity's onResume but I don't understand how can I check for Facebook session existence and if it is, use it or "wake it up" and continue from where the user has left it.

I searched the net but I keep getting to posts about logging in to Facebook but not how to maintain it afterwards
