Root Help, My phone F*D Up?? Root changed Kernel? topic

I was using Kingo Root to root my S3 i9300, until i realized it wasn't working because it kept looping and when i took my phone out it still kept looping with the rooting process(As if my device is still connected). It rebooted my phone once and the problem is it still keeps looping.
But the problem is, it change my Kernel Version to
3.0.31-2788594

[Q] in need of a cyanogenmod kernel on SlimLP 5.0.2 topic

Hello all, I have been searching for a while for a great all purpose kernel with FAST CHARGE! The best and most necessary feature every kernel and user needs. Many kernels don't have this feature included slimming my findings. ALSO IF THE KERNEL HAS UNDERVOLT AND OVERCLOCK FEATURES ARE A HUGE PLUS IN MY BOOK.

Hi,

Here is an OC kernel for you to try. The max cpu frequency is overclocked to 2.35 Ghz instead of 2.15 Ghz. The stability is not well tested but i could play 20 minutes of Asphalt 8. Note that benchmarks and maybe games does not seems to profit a lot from this overclock, i guess the thermal engine is always optimizing speeds no matter what.

To be flashed via TWRP recovery

How to check Kernel Version and install topic

Hi all,

Could you please advise me about How to check Kernel version and install Kernel ? I've facing on battery fast draining without any running application. 40% losses while my phone is idle status in 6 hours. I've fix with flash a new firmware but the problem still living (it normal around a week then happen again).

I need official kernel (Country = THL)

PS. if I flash a new Firmware that's mean including Kernel ? as I understand Kernel is a path in Firmware

WiFi and Bluetooth won't turn on on any kernel and firmware (stock / custom) topic

Hello,

today I was working with my Xperia Z (C6603) and flashed a CM12 build. After having some problems with TWRP, I solved it in the end an TWRP and CM12 were working fine. But WiFi and Bluetooth won't turn on anymore. When I press "turn on" it takes some time and then the switch turns off again. A MAC address is not shown anymore. I tried to flash stock firmware with Flashtool, but didn't change anything.

Can someone help me to solve this? Is my phone partially bricked?

Gt i9100 JB stock Kernel topic

Hi guys ! So , I have a SGS2 with JB stock rom ( XWLST - Indian rom ) rooted by flashing Speedmod kernel. I want to go back to the stock kernel . I searched in google but got no luck , so should I unroot the phone in superSu to get or reflash the rom ( tried but nothing happened ) or is there any link to download the stock kernel and flash it using odin ? Any ways for doing this thing ? Thanks :).

[Q] Stock Rom Kernel Enforcing/Permissive topic

Hey all,

Just wanted to ask(I know im not suppose to enter this thread here but for some reason no one cares about Q&A Threats mostly) where or how i can get my kernel SeLinux to be Permissive.

Searched on the internet for days now and on xda.
i know i can flash a custom rom with permissive kernel but thats not the point.
tried several custom roms and its not working with my equipment. And by equipment i mean i have an Smart Dock Multimedia Hub and use it for Gaming on my phone which is working the way i want.
But the thing is, since i want to use an Root app that need SeLinux to be Permissive im asking it here.
Most of the Custom roms dont support the Smart Dock Multimedia Hub so i want to stick on the Stock KK Rom.

My phone is Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3 LTE i9205 rooted with CWM/TWRP Recovery
Hope someone can help me out on this.

[Kernel] Starship Kernels 01/08/2014 (AOSP|CM-12|CM-11) topic

I am working on two versions of my Starship Rom some of you may be familiar with from either other devices or the Starship Nexus 4.4.4 Roms for the Nexus 5 & 7. I am currently in the process of updating Starship for Lollipop. This time around Nexus users will have the choice of an AOSP or CM based Rom. I was debating with Lollipop if I wanted to use CM or AOSP code to use as a base. going Following the CM path could easily release a version for any device that has an official or unofficial build which would bring the Rom to more devices. I also wanted to take advantage of Nexus ownership for the first time and learn more about building AOSP based Roms so just decided on doing both as most of my changes and theme can be applied to both. The Kernels not so much but have been tryng to stay away from things that can only be applied to one Kernel like CM that would brake Stock or visa versa.

I am following the same work-flow/path as the Kit-Kat Incarnation of Starship and working on the theme at home and Kernels and other optimizations remotely why either Babysitting Nieces/Nephews or lunch breaks at work so for the most part nothing close to the size and resolution I would working from home. Still have more work ahead before comfortable enough on the theme for releasing the full Roms as I would like them to flow with Material Design the best I can. but the Kernels are coming along nicely so as I did with the CM-11.0 based Starship am posting the Kernels separately so if you are not a fan of the Rom can still use the Kernel. Difference being just just posting a Kernel. Have in the past first posted Rom and Kernel and would then probably update the Kernel after every few added version increment .

With the Kernels I follow the same philosophy as the Rom in being light and efficient. You will not find any new features like overclocking or voltage control just the most efficient non intrusive optimizations with the fewest trade-offs possible. Much credit goes out to many other developers and would like to especially give thanks to Mrg666 as a decent amount of his work has been included directly or adapted. Definitely one of the most helpful devs who has never minded sharing anything and has helped since owning an Evo 3d for VM and does much of his own development constantly thinking of creative ways to improve anything. This is Rare as there is only a number of ways of doing something with anything you can think of that has not been done already been done but dude just keeps coming up with original ideas.

The AOSP/Sock & CM 12 Kernels are currently on version 3.4.25. I have been adapting the Linux version patches I put together for the CM-11 3.4 Starship Kernel and although continues to keep the Kernel version at 3.4.0 the CM Team will still use selective parts from versions above 3.4.0 so I am in the process of revisiting each patch for both the CM-12 and AOSP Kernels making adjustments ware needed. Is still much easier than redoing every patch. With each patch I first looked up each individual commit. If for some reason a commit would not merge because a line was slightly different because of either another commit added by the CM Team, some lines in original document had another stupid difference like not identically indented or the most common that the commit had either been made already or changed by Google or CM to use more efficient code from a higher version. Version Increments should update quickly until reaching Versions 3.4.43. This is the point I will need to start first committing every individual change again.

Pre ME1 Kernel needed to unlock S4 topic

Hello you lot.

I have been trying to unlock a GT-I9505 from the 3UK network with no luck. I can't seem to get a code for it although I have paid two companies to do it so far and the FastGSM unlock USB server software that I prefer to use says that I need to downgrade the security firmware from ME1 to a previous version to continue.
Can anyone point me in the right direction here as I'm not sure what I am looking for. I currently have TWRP recovery installed and I am running the Omega ROM.
Any help much welcomed.
