Audio Streaming over WiFi topic

Hello XDA Forums,

I have been looking for a while now for this without many results.
Is there a way to stream all audio from your android device, to your pc?

A set-up like this:

Android Device Audio -> WiFi -> Computer -> Computer Speakers

Is there an app for doing this? I'm not looking for Bluetooth connection as i do not have an adapter for that on my computer.
I am using my android device directly on my speakers right now using a 3.5mm jack, but the possibility of being able doing this over WiFi will make things a lot easier.
I have my router in my room so i guess latency won't be that high.

Streaming audio while using MAPS(GPS) will close out GMAPS. topic

I have updated my Nexus 5 to 5.0.1 recently. I just recently noticed that if I am streaming audio from an app like Pandora, Podcast addict and using Google Maps GPS routing that the audio from the music app will pause and the Google Maps will shut down. The GMaps doesn't show the navigation icon in the notification area and only if I press the square at the bottom and look for GMaps card will it start again. Then I will need to restart the music app to play. But after 5-10 minutes the same thing happens again.

Has anyone else had this problem? I just started to stream the last week. Usually I download the podcast and I don't have this problem.

[Q] XBMC Movie Streaming Issues topic

I'm pretty pleased with XBMC installed on my Fire TV, but it's not without its issues. For one, despite having a hard-wired 18mbps Internet connection, movies seem to pause a lot. I often have to stop, let it buffer a while, then resume. This happens with 1080p movies, 720p, occasionally even SD movies. (I think the wife is about to chuck my FireTV out the window.) But sometimes, playback is totally fine, and I'll watch a 1080p movie from start to finish with no hiccups. So is it the source file, or why do I sometimes have issues? I have no trouble at all streaming iTunes movies from my Apple TV. (Haven't tried an Amazon movie yet.) Is there a way to tweak the FireTV for better streaming performance?

Data use on streaming on Chromecast topic

A little background here, i am yet to order the google chromecast as i have one question on my mind.
I live in a country where high speed Internet is both expensive and limited. Thus my monthly internet cap is 60 GB for 8Mbps or 1MBps speed.

So my qiestion is , when local content i.e content on my phone , tablet or pc is streamed via wifi to the chromecast , is this data consumed from my internet bandwidth. Say i stream a 2Gb movie , will 2 Gb be deducted from my internet limit as my wifi router was used ?

Sorry if this is a naive question , but I do need some clarification regarding this.

video streaming PC vs Android topic

hey guys,

basically ive noticed that when im stream a video from my nexus 5 to my chromecast the video streams straight to the chromecast rather than stream to the nexus and then to the chromecast. In the same way that when you use the youtube app it casts directly. My question is, is there any way to have this arrangement from my mac/PC.

Bluetooth streaming issue topic

I am trying to stream music through Bluetooth in my BMW iDrive and I cannot get it to work with apps like Spotify, TuneIn. My phone is a Sprint HTC One M7 (4.1.2) and it streams fine the mp3 stored on the phone (played through the HTC Music app), so I know it is possible and it should work, but not with those internet streaming apps. Previously, I was using it in my VW and it has always worked great.

I tried many time the usual unpair/pair thing, I updated the BMW software to the latest, and still nothing.

Before upgrading my phone, I wanted to check if someone has any idea on this?
Possible to upgrade the Bluetooth stack only maybe?
