Do I need to unlock LGG3 just to have it rooted? My rooting is only for apps that work for rooted phones. I won't be installing a custom rom.

I bought a Samsung Galaxy S5, which has had the imei repaired from being blacklisted,
I can't update using the normal options, going into the settings, about phone ect.. :(

What I want to know is: Can I use Samsung Kies to update this phone? Or am I stuck on the

[Question] Uninstalling Online Nandroid Backup? topic

So I recently have a custom ROM for my phone and it came with Online Nandroid Backup, I was wondering if it's safe to uninstall this since I prefer to use ROM Manager to do a full ROM/OS/whatever you want to call it backup.

I was curious, do those in other countries who have received the lollipop update from their carrier have access to quick Circle case functions on their android lollipop device? Also, I have used a few lollipop roms on my LG g3 such as validus, liquid smooth, cm 12 and have noticed that the validus rom is much slower to boot then the others. I'm not complaining at all, I'm just curious why some ROMs boot faster than others?

So I'm not sure that this is possible but just wanna make sure I'm not missing something somewhere.. Is there any way to get the card on my watch that I received a text message from Hangouts but not show the conversation or the contents of the message? Can I simply put my AT&T Sim card into a gear s and use it as a completely stand alone phone \ device? I know it needs initial set up but I'm talking after that. I carry 2 phones everyday, work \ personal, and want to cut it down. I don't want to integrate my work and personal phone in any way.

I am currently running a stock but rooted nexus 5 on kitkat 4.4.4. I want to do a clean install to stock but rooted lollipop 5.0.1. What is the best way to do this? Any tutorials? I am running a mac - As I mentioned I want to do a clean install so I am ok with losing everything.

I have researched and looked but can't seem to find a definitive answer. How does the Note 4 DE get updated to the next version of Android? For example, I order the Note 4 DE today with 4.4.4. What happens when 5.x.x comes out. How does that phone get the update. I have been told by Samsung that the wireless carrier is going to put out the update; however I know better than that as the boot loader will get locked. I have read were Samsung Kies is used to update also. I have read (on xda) that Samsung has and probably will never send out an update for a DE device. I am looking to keep the UDP with Verizon so I have to pay full price when getting a DE device or retail. Thanks.

1) What is the most effective and efficient way to root this phone.
2) Is there fully functioning(without any bug) CM11 developed for this phone. If yes, could anyone please share the link.

[Q] Question about Screen Resolution in Official CM 12 topic

Hey all I have one question. I don't know if it's my imagination but a couple of weeks ago when I flashed an Unofficial CM 12 ROM, it seemed to me that the resolution was lower than LG Stock. I'm not talking about the size of the icons on app drawer or the grid on home screen, I'm talking about actual resolution or anti-aliasing(?)
Like the Icons, buttons like the one on the home screen that opens the app drawer etc, it wasn't that clear like the Nexus 6 for example, which has the same screen resolution as far as I know.

Anyone else here have this problem with the Official CM 12 or is the resolution fine and clear?
Anyone here compared LG G3 running Official CM 12 with a Nexus 6 side by side or another G3 running Stock LG Lollipop?

Ok i am very new to this , this may be answered elsewhere but i couldn't find it . after updating my nexus 7 to lollipop the update practically ruined my nexus , it has never ran so terrible. I have rooted it since and i am looking to see if a different rom/operating system is better. does anyone with a nexus have any suggestions. I have used cyanogen years ago on my htc evo and liked it but what you someone with better experience suggest. also it is asking to update to android system 5.0.2 and i am not sure it i do that if it will take my root access away....i am guessing it will ?

So due to the recent development it seems like handsets sold in India won't be getting CM updates, but users can manually perform updates, correct?

Warrenty question: broken screen stright outof box topic

got a brand new phione as a spear for when in inevitably bricked my first one i just took it otu the box yesterday it went stright into my otter box defender case and i just picked up up this mornign and thesunn light cuagth the screen in just the right way and theres a hairlien fracture right through the screen now will this be covered by the warrenty as it onlky just came otu the boxand its been in a hard case or should i contact the insurnace company that sent me this spear phone the spear phone was an insurance replacemnt for one i accidently droped ofa roof lol please any infomation woudl eb greatful cos i can afford the insurance premiums or to buy a new phone but wann try get this fixxed
