Weird display brightness issue topic

Hi all, yesterday i noticed a problem regarding display brigtness: i saw that below 24% value, brightness is set automatically to 0%, i mean..i can set from 0% to 23% but brightness doesn't change at all, it's like always set to 0! Upper 24% it is ok.
It's nothing tragic but is still a problem and i don't see where i'm messing.
I'm running cloudyg3+dorimanx.
Any help would be appreciated.
:)

Auto brightness not lowering all the way topic

Has anyone else noticed this? On auto brightness, my phone doesn't turn itself all the way down to minimum brightness even in total darkness. If I disable auto brightness and put it on minimum it actually gets darker. It's not a huge deal but I like not having my eyes burned by solar brightness if I look at my phone at 3 am, lol.

No auto brightness in tablet mode? topic

I know it sounds stupid but it was bugging me. In phone mode you have auto brightness on the pull down menu. In tablet mode you don't. If it wasn't obvious enough I'll make it more obvious. The reason why there is no auto brightness in tablet mode is because there is no sensor on the tablet, it is on the phone. And the sensor on the phone gets covered up in tablet mode. I just thought I would point this out in case anyone else is scratching their head about it like I was.

[Q] Moto G brightness really dim topic

My Moto g brightness is really dimmed to the point I can not see the screen. First I thought it was the screen display. So I brought a new one but i'm still having the same problem. Then I took everything apart and I'm left with the motherboard, battery and the screen. When i plug them two things in the motherboard and turn on the phone and put it near a lightbulb, I can see the screen. I'm wondering how I can fix this problem. Please help.

Adjusting brightness not work properly topic

Adjusting the brightness does not work until I press the lock button.
Previously on 4.2 worked fine.
Now is kitkat.

[Q] [Tab Pro 8.4] Best settings for Lux auto brightness? topic

I wasn't satisfied with the stock auto brightness feature on my Tab Pro 8.4 (too bright at night, sometimes too low in day time). I installed Lux Auto Brightness which provides much more control over the screen brightness. With my current settings (Auto day/night profile switch, dynamic brightness adjustment), the default night settings work extremely well but the default day settings seem too bright.
Has anyone tried to optimize the settings of this app on a Tab Pro 8.4? If so, could you post your settings and adjustments?

[MOD] Minimum Brightness topic

Change the minimum brightness level from usual 10 to 1. It doesn't modify the autobrightness level map so automatic brightness won't be lowered (though it can be easily adjusted on CM11).

This is so far exactly the same as GravityBox offers (modifying 'config_screenBrightnessSettingMinimum').

But Minimum Brightness offers one unique feature - it also modifies the lower brightness levels in MX Player (free/paid). Because no matter whatever you use manual or auto brightness, MX Player always uses minimum brightness of 0.05 (12/255, 19/255, 27/255, 36/255...). To actually lower the brightness, you would have to turn off brightness control in MX Player or use one of many 'overlay filter brightness app'.
So Minimum Brightness module retains the same quadratic function for brightness levels but includes lower values (1/255, 4/255, 9/255, 16/255, 25/255...).

Minimum Brightness uses value 1/255 which might not be suitable for every display (meaning LCD) but it suits perfectly my Super AMOLED screens (Galaxy S5 / Galaxy Tab S 8.4) and watching videos at night is still enjoyable.

There are many excellent auto brightness apps (Lux, Darker etc) that can use overlay filters to lower brightness even more so it's up to everyone to try and decide.

Minimum Brightness is also available from Xposed Module Repository (source).

[Q] Ambient Display vs Manual brightness topic

What do people find the most efficient way of deciding between ambient display and manual brightness?

Ambient display gives a pink tint when on low brightness manual does not.

Manual brightness is a little brighter than ambient display so is this having a negative impact on battery.

What are your thoughts on this?

[Q] Lowest Brightness Level too Bright topic

I love showing off my new LG G Watch R to people... however I was told multiple times that the watch face was too bright when in a semi-dim room. Any chance a future update could have lower brightness levels?

Flashlight brightness topic

Has anyone used a flashlight app that gives access to full LED brightness? Also, do both flash LEDs get used? Anyone compared the brightness to any other phones? Curious, because my old HD2 with dual flash was incredibly useful as a flashlight, which my current Galaxy S4 can't match.
