External SD Card permissions topic

Hi All,

I am having issues being able to use files i have stored on my Ext SD Card. The problem started after flashing back to VenomRom from Skydragon Lollipop. I can read and write to the card fine but some (not all) files are no longer readable by the phone or by my windows PC if I copy the file to my desktop. This also effected some back ups I might prior to make the move back to Venom.

Any ideas on what has happened here or how to fix? I'm guessing its a permissions thing?

Permissions Messed Up On & Can't Extract Folders On SD Card topic

Been having some issues with trying to extract zips from sd card or change permissions on files on my sd card. It tells me I don't have permissions and I even tried moving a file from my phone to my SD card and got a error message. I'm using the B1 Archiver. I was trying to set something up before and tried changing the permissions on a file on my sd card and I got the same error. I just tried formatting my sd card but that didn't help.

I'm on 4.4.2 rooted with towelroot.

SuperSu not granting automatic permissions anymore topic

hey guys i have one problem with supersu.
i installed clean master and do cleaning **** and startup cleaning things and after reboot all apps that have granted root permission( foldermount, gmd gestures, lightflow, etc), these apps shows no toast popup after boot and to make them grant permissions i have to open them. Same thing when i installed boot manager and did not do anything but boot and again no supersu toast popups about root permissions after boot.
is there a way to keep the root grants after the boot? ( i have checked default acces to grant in supersu app)

[Q] TWRP Manager screwed the USB storage write permissions topic

I used "TWRP Manager " Apply SD CARD Patch, and now it locked my USB storage write permissions. My apps cannot store anything now. Also I cannot paste any files to my phone from PC.

I even "Reverted the patch" from TWRP manager settings, but its not fixed. I have already did a factory reset.

Kindly help me.

Changed permissions to entire lib file on accident topic

Good morning fellow XDA'ers

I recently rooted my s4 to remove all the bloatware, along with samsung hub which i needed to resume screen rotation. I found a solution to fix that which is to paste libgnustl_shared.so in the lib file, which i did, then changed the permission to that (rw--r--r). After getting out of that folder I changed the permission of the entire lib file to (rw--r--r) (original was rwe--re--re). I was wondering if there is a recovery that allowed me to change the permission, or even format only the system files. I just prefer not to reset it. Any ideas will help

I am currently on stock 4.4.4 rooted, no knox (removed that).
