Chrome and other browsers really slow, but only on WiFi... topic

For several weeks now, I have noticed that Chrome takes 5 - 10 seconds to load almost any webpage, but only if Wifi is on and connected. On LTE, its no more than 2 seconds to load a new (non-cached) page. This includes my home network (50 Mbps, Linksys EA6100 Router), work (Cisco waps, 10Mbps), and a university network (Speedtests show 160Mbps). I was getting this issue on Stock 5.0.1 and I'm still getting it on Cataclysm 5.0.1 (ElementalX Kernel). I also cleared Chrome's cache and it got a little better. Just a little though. I downloaded Firefox and it does pretty much the same thing. I'm at a loss.

I have searched through many of the forums and have found this problem all over with no clear solution. So I thought to start a fresh one. I have a Samsung Galaxy S3 that was given to me. The battery life was only a few hours so he got a new phone. Anyhow I have purchase 2 different batteries and both only charge to 85%. The first one would only charge to 100% once and when I unplugged the phone it dropped to 85%. The second battery charged to 98% the first charge. I let the battery completely drain and recharged with the phone off. Went to 100% no problem. Turned the phone on and it said 85% charged. With both batteries sometimes I can unplugged the phone and after a little while of waiting it goes up to 95%. Tried multiple charges to see if it had something to do with that as well. I have attempted to clear the cache files from recovery mode multiple times. I cannot root the phone to delete the battery bin file. I have attempted many times and this one just won't do it. Android version: 4.4.2 Baseband version: I747UCUFNJ1, I cannot get this damn thing to root to save my life. I'm just frustrated. I was hoping to get a nice phone for free but with it only charging to 85% i just can't accept that. Does anyone know what I can do about this?:confused:

Phone boots only on charger topic

Dear Friends,

My phone was in perfect condition till last night. All of a sudden when I was taking a pic, the phone switched off. It had tried to reboot multiple times. Now the phone only starts when connected to the charger. As soon as charger is removed, the phone goes dead? What could be the issue?

I had done a factory reset yesterday morning. The same night the phone went into this issue. Can factory reset be an issue? How can I solve this? It does not work without connecting to charger. The service center guy says that the motherboard is dead. I just cannot believe that. Can you please suggest a way. I'm also planning to visit another service centre.

Hi everyone , I was not sure where to post this so i'm sorry if this is in the wrong place , so i just found a bricked tab and the guy who owned it gave it to me because he said its completely screwed , its a LAVA E-tab z7c . So right now if i try to switch it on , i see a screwed up boot image , half of the screen has random colors and the other half displays android. On holding the power button and the volume down i got to the fastboot mode. I found the stock ROM online and tried to flash it using

I made the mistake of flashing a CM nightly on my tablet, because now everything's broke. I had it set up with CWM and SlimLP alphas which were running fine, but now everything's bunk.

I've tried turning off the tablet, but it just starts back up again without warning, even when unplugged. I've tried every power/volume combination at boot, but it only boots to Android.

I hopped into an Android terminal session and typed

which sends the tablet back to Android post-boot.

ADB recognizes it as an ADB device, but it will only show as offline, and revoking the UBS authorizations doesn't prompt them again later.

I've even tried Odin Mobile and UAMP, as well as ROM Manager, but they won't flash anything either. Rather, the things they flash don't stick after a reboot.

What do I do?

Hi guys I have a Note 2 (at&t).. The phone was with tricky network signal and I decide to make root and to put custom firmware ... after few tries I think I fu*k up the phone... Now I can boot only in download mode , The phone hasn't recovery - i tried to put it with Odin but no luck, I tried with stock FW - no luck again ...

Sound only through external speaker topic

Hi,

As of today - my phone will only play sound through the external speaker. Calls play through it, and music plays through it.
The phone detects that head phones are connected/disconnected just fine, and the internal speaker was working for calls yesterday. I have no idea WTF is going on, haven't changed anything.

Updated the kernel from .108 to .157 in case it was a known bug - fixed nothing.

Is there anyone who might know what is going on??

[Q] Galaxy S5 (G900F) LTE Only Mode topic

Hello,
i want ask if its normal that LTE Only mode on my Samsung Galaxy S5 disables ability to use calls.
I have problem because my S5 is using mostly H or H+ connection in locations where LTE is available. When i choose LTE band preference it connects to LTE but voice calls dont work. When i choose LTE/WCDMA or LTE/GSM voice calls are working but after call its conneted to H or H+ again. It never prefer LTE.

What's wrong. Do you have same problem?

Hey guys hope someone can point me to the right direction or knows this problem:

Galaxy Tab 10.1 Wifi (P5110).

Device will only boot recovery no matter what. (both with stock or custom recovery AND stock or custom rom installed - tried all combinations already)

Stock rom has been installed with odin and pit-repartition has also been tried.

When I turn on the tablet it boots straight to recovery. On stock recovery it says something about update, then "no command" and when I then choose reboot system, it says error and powers the device off.

Please help.

Hi, I flashed my Nokia X with wrong zip from recovery. I think the phone is dead, when I connect the device to my linux pc, it's detected as partitions, there are many files in there of recovery, system,... and even my internal storage is detected (on windows nothing is detected). So when I plug the device in to my USB, the phone juste vibrates then nothing appear. Same thing when I remove battery then click power button. I hope anyone here can help me! [Q] Xperia Z2 failed to turn on shows redlight (only when charging) topic

When I connect my xperia z2 to the charger, it shows the red light like its charging then after a couple of minutes shows the sony logo and shows the battery icon then then the red light goes off and sequence continues. The phone is driving me nuts. I've tried using flash tool but the phone cant even get into flashmode, it gets into fastboot mode though but thats about it. I've tried different chargers but failed.

Hello guys,

I am sitting with a little problem, my Evo 3D will not charge when the phone is on, yet if i switch it off it charges. I am running CyanogenMod 11-2014-09-20. But now if i use a Samsung note 10.1 2014 edition charger is charges whilst it's on. Would this be a connector problem or software? I tried plugging this into my PC and it wont prompt me for the connection type.

I have recently noticed a ? on the battery icon, it comes on a few times a day. I have four batteries, two new and two old, they all do this when inserted into the phone.
