Been having difficulty pinpointing a solution to this,

what would be the best way of changing the camera shortcut from the stock camera app to the Google Camera one? Just prefer it.

Changing Bootloaders topic

The CM12 release seems to kickback an error if the bootloader and recovery aren't properly aligned. But I haven't been able to find a way to specifically change the bootloader, I suspect its going on behind the scenes. I've got custom recovery (TWRP, and i have tried several versions) and have flashed a wide variety of ROMs. I also just "rerooted" my device with effortless stuff because I was getting signal issues. Even in this rerooting process I didn't seem to directly change the bootloader.

What bootloader/recovery combo can i flash to get CM12 working?

Is there a way to change the voicemail number that is dialed when the voicemail icon is pressed?

when i pressed this icon for the first time I was prompted to enter a phone number, I entered the phone number but my carrier uses 121 as the number to dial.

My voicemail settings are disabled. I have Lyca mobile.

Date and time keep changing topic

Hi.
Since installing cm12 optimized for s4 i9505 I am having a mild headache with date and time. They keep changing and its messed up my calendar, missing appointments etc. I have tried going back to cm m12 but still the same problem. Help!

Changing Button Functions topic

Hey guys,

I was wondering if anyone had any luck remapping the hardware buttons. I'd like the follow sort of layout:
Home > Home
Long Home > Google Now
Menu > Recents
Long Menu > Menu

I can't see a way to change the long press functionality in the key file. Has anyone had any luck there?

I'm on SlimSaber 5.02 so I can't run the exposed stuff.

Changing 4G/LTE Frequency topic

Hi folks,

I have tried searching but couldn't find the answer so apologies if this is covered before.

I have a 32GB HTC One M8 which I bought from Canada. I am in UK and now looking to get a 4G contract however it turns out that the phone frequency is not compatible with 4G network here..

I have read a thread here talking about adding all frequencies but I don't want to root the phone.

Is there anyway I can flash a UK unbranded firmware? Will it add the UK frequencies or is it built in the hardware.

Changing wallpaper problem topic

I have a Verizion Samsung Galaxy Note 3 using Nova Launcher, not rooted. A long while ago I downloade Muzei app to have my wallpaper change every hour it worked great used it for a couple months I run into a batter drain issue I delete Muzei and a bunch of other apps the batter drain issues is fixed or manageable for now. However my background still changes all on its own Muzei is not installed I try to find any info on and I find nothing so I re download the app run it then delete it however this time I cleared the data and cache. The problem still persists my background keeps changing. I do not want to do a factory reset. Is there anyone who can help with out having to do a factory restore and having to back up and all that is a royal pain on an Android device. [Q] Changing ROM topic

Hey guys. I posted a few days ago with a question about restoring my dad's phone to stock for warranty and this got me thinking about making some changes to my phone as well. I'm currently on Beans rom (Now called Alliance I believe) build 21. I'm thinking about trying out CM11 which I believe is Android 4.4. I went to the CM website to check out a guide on how to do this and came across this: http://wiki.cyanogenmod.org/w/Install_CM_for_i605

This guide APPEARS to be written for Note 2's that took the OTA that locked the bootloader. I still have an unlocked bootloader on Beans rom. So my question is do I need to bother with all the steps in that guide? Or is that only if bootloader is locked? Do I need Heimdall or Clockworkmod Recovery? Can I just use TWRP that I already have and do a data/cache wipe and flash the CM11 Rom? Any firmware files needed? Since my current rom is only Android 4.1.2? The Alliance rom thread says to flash MJ9 firmware before flashing their rom but I see no mention of it in the CM guide.

I changed my phone from Xperia X8 to Xperia J and now I can't change songs in Walkman with volume keys. If lockscreen is off then volume keys are only waking screen. Is this possible to make it working?
