[Q] Using m8 as ps3 controller topic

Is there any app with which I can use my m8 as a ps3 controller. I mean not just as a keyboard for browsing but as a complete replacement of the game pad.

[Q] Shield controller does not work any more? topic

Hello all,

My shield controller worked great when using KitKat.

I had no need for it for a while - but wanted to use it today. Since I used it last time, I have updated my wifi Shield Tablet to 5.0.1 (rooted). Th Lolipop update included a factory reset - so my original controller pairing was lost.

So I tried to pair it again - but the pairing did not work (the unit and the controller both just blink - but they do not connect). The I tried to select "forget all controllers" in the controller setup - when I click "yes" at the prompt, the controller app seems to be crashing, as I get a message saying that Shield Controller Stopped Working...

I tried everything (factory reset the controller, multiple restarts) but no luck.

The controller does not connect. The fact that the app crashes when I want to forget paired controllers suggests that this is a software issue. But what is the issue? And how do I fix it?

Any ideas would be very welcome...

Thank you all

SM-T805 Wired Xbox 360 Controller topic

Hi,

Has anyone found a way of getting the Xbox 360 (wired) controller to work with the Tab S. I've installed a couple of apps and they recognise the controller and I can navigate the screens on the tab but any button I press launches the Google Now app. I've tested the controller and cable on my Galaxy S5 and works flawlessly without any additional apps being installed. I've rooted the Tab S and installed the IronRom V1.6LTE.

If anyone can find a way of getting this to work as it does on the S5 I'd appreciate the help.

[Q] Xbox 360 wireless controller on n7105 topic

Hi, I have a n7015, a wireless Xbox 360 controller and a Microsoft Xbox wireless receiver and I want to use the controller to play games on android. I've tried some tutorials but nothing seems to work. Anyone had done it before?
I've root. No problem with that.

TV dock + controller dock? topic

Hi there!

Has anyone bought a dock that allows them to stream from the dock to the TV(wired), and used a gamepad (bluetooth connected) to android?

Scenario: go to a hotel, plug phone into dock, connect dock to wall for power, and TV to stream. Connect bluetooth gamepad to galaxy s 5. Play game on TV.

Sorry if I'm not explaining this clearly, I can try a different way.

Thanks!

GCM10 Game Control Mount, Xperia and PS3 Controller compatibility topic

A while ago I asked this question here on XDA regarding the GCM10 Game Control Mount and its compatibility with a PS3 controller. I didn't get that many detailed answers and I figured more people would be interested to know whether the GCM10 works with the PS3 controller. I used my Xperia Z1 instead of a Z3 as advertised but this obviously shouldn't make a difference. Since I won this from the Xperiablog community, I figured I should do the community a favour in return by doing this.

As you can see here, the GCM10 doesn't quite fit the PS3 controller - it almost closes, but you'll have to use a rubber band or come up with another creative idea to close it properly. Before I received this, I used to hold the Xperia phone and controller in place with only one bent wire which was very fragile. I used it in the bus once or twice, but really wouldn't have recommended this. Now this GCM10 already seems much better since it steadily holds the phone in place with the suction cup, which was the main issue with my previous wire solution.

The downside is that the GCM10's metal wire in the middle (which is actually covered in rubber - a very nice detail indeed) is slightly in the way of the square button, and you cannot completely rotate the analog sticks to the sides where the wires are. I'll have to do some more testing but as it seems now, although it does look quite nice in pictures I do not recommend the GCM10 if you only have a PS3 controller in conclusion. I could consider upgrading to a PS4 controller but this is kind of a waste of money as I don't actually own a PlayStation. But if you do, then this GCM10 really is a nice addition if you like to play mobile games. Especially for emulating games it would be amazing!

[Q] Ouya Controller issues topic

Hello there,
I'm having troubles with the Ouya controller on my Nvidia Shield Tablet. I've tried to play games like Portal using it, but it just spins around by itself and it's simply unplayable due to that. I've tried applying the patch in the alternative gamepads thread, but still the issue appers and I'm not sure if it's related to Android L or not.

Any idea what to do? This is the logcat:

Xbox 360 controller support topic

Hello. Is there any solution to make Xbox 360 controller working on Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 12.2?

[APP] Voice Controller for Spotify topic

Hi everyone,

I had posted a thread about this app on the moto360 session, but I think now it is more stable for the rest of Android Wear devices.

Voice Controller for Spotify is an application that allows you to use voice commands to start media playback on your phone from an Android Wear device.

Features
•Assign the app to Android Wear’s system voice actions and send a query using “Play…” voice action*.
•Start the playback of playlists you follow on Spotify using the keyword “playlist”. Likewise, use “artist” or “song” to filter your search results only with bands/artists or tracks.
•Put your favorite band’s top songs or playlist on shuffle/repeat mode by using “shuffle” or “repeat” keywords.
•Playback controls on your Android Wear Device. Send pause, skip, play and all the other media commands straight from your watch. (5.0+)
•You are following a playlist and it is super hard to speak its name? Maybe even impossible? Try out our playlist renaming feature. This will rename the playlist only on this app to make it easier to say its name.
•Hands busy with pizza but you really hate one specific song of a playlist? Just say “Skip” or “Play next” to skip the song (or just say any media commands you want! i.e. resume, pause, skip, previous). But if you think you are too fancy to say these common words, just rename them to whatever you want!
*Sometimes Google’s voice recognition does not send the request through the app. If that happens, just open the app using “Start Spotify Controller”, and then speak your request or use your favorite Android Wear launcher to start the app.
Due to limitations on Spotify Android App, some of these features are only available on the Native Player, which uses Spotify SDK BETA.

A PREMIUM SPOTIFY ACCOUNT IS REQUIRED TO USE THIS APP.

---------------

I developed this app a few weeks ago because of the amazing voice recognition Google has been doing on Android Wear. The idea of the app came while I was eating some pizza, getting my hands dirty, and then I noticed that there was an awkward silence in the room with a couple of friends, and the idea to play some tunes using my watch came to my mind. I tried saying some commands to check if some songs started playing, since I saw that we could assign apps to "Play music" voice action, but none of the actions I tried worked (phone was locked, I didn't even see Google Music opening up). I felt a little bit frustrated for a moment, but then I realized that it is quite simple to connect Spotify and the Wear Voice Commands. It was when this app came to life.

The app is completely free, and I plan to keep like this and without any ads. If you like the app, feel free to show some love by rating on Google Play or using the donation button.

I just released the newest version that comes with main features Spotify has (artists, playlists, tracks, enqueueing, repeat mode, etc), but using voice commands! If you have an Android Wear device and Spotify Premium account, please, check it out! I would love to get some feedback (:

Thanks!

Nexus 9 + Moga Pocket Controller + Modern Combat 4 topic

Hi! :)

I own the Nexus 9, MOGA Pocket Controller (Power A) and MC4. The connection between the controller and Nexus 9 works perfectly, but when I use it for Modern Combat 4 I cant controll anything :(. For example: I cant move, shoot or something like that...

For the connection I use the APP "MOGA Privot".

I hope somebody can help me
