Hi all. I am getting my new Moto G today (ZT1068) and want to have lolipop but also need root. I was wondering how I would do this? Also if I do manage to get root while on 5.0.1 can I use OTA to 5.0.2 or would I need to un-root first? I am new to rooting so I'd like the easiest way possible, thanks for your time!

[Q] Note 3 accidentally updated topic
So i rooted my phone not too long ago, and today i saw an update for my phone. i didn't think anything of it at the time and just let it update but when i looked at it later it gave me the message "System software not authorized by Verizon wireless has been found of your phone. and it tells me to go to the store to help. i don't really know what im doing so if someone could provide a easy step by step guide on how to fix it then that would be awesome. thanks.
Just Updated to 4.4.4 unbelievable lag does 5.0 cure this? topic
I've just updated to 4.4.3 today which seemed buggy (not responding etc) I then updated to 4.4.4. The lag has made it unusable. If I click settings for example I get a lag of quite a few seconds. I never had this before I updated.
I've done a search it seems like I'm the only one. Has anyone else had this problem? Did updating it to 5.0 cure it? (I haven't got the OTA update for 5.0)
PS My device is unrooted & staying that way. I'm not interested in hearing a lecture about it & I won't enter into a debate about it.

Xperia Apps Updated 1/8/15 topic
Its hard to find all the Xperia Applications that are updated through Update Center in once place so I have created this thread to assist people with getting the most up to date apps. Since I am afflicted with never getting any updates via update center I figure others are having the same issues.

[APP][4.0+] Do Now - Task timer (Time blocking/todo list updated Material Design ) topic
Hi. I started work on this app back in April and got a little bit of feedback off here as I was still learning Android. I've learned a lot since then and in my latest iteration the highlights include adding Google Task syncing and updating to Material Design. The app is based on the idea of time blocking and focusing on doing one thing at a time while simplifying the idea of the todo list that, to me, always seems overly complicated. Please let me know what you think! You can grab it here https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...stic.donow.app. Here are the key features:
- Timed tasks with optional alarms and notifications
- Autocomplete remembers previous tasks as well as average duration and actual time spent
- Plan ahead or make it quicker to enter in repetitive tasks/upcoming plans by saving them as routines
- Complete tasks/pause/start from widget
- Sync with Google Tasks & across devices (Use Todoist? A Do Now user generously shared a Zapier recipe to sync Todoist with Google Tasks which then syncs with Do Now. See here: https://zapier.com/zapbook/todoist/g...asks-new-task/).
- Re-order tasks and your timers will adjust
- Auto-repeat mode - completed tasks get re-added to bottom of list (Pro feature)
- Routine scheduling - set a schedule (can be repetitive) for a routine to get loaded automatically into your planned list (Pro feature)
Helpful for those with ADD/ADHD and need help staying focused
The app is broken up into simple lists:
- Planned - stuff you want to get done today and where you start your timer. Just hit play or set up a reminder of when you want to start. Synced tasks due today will end up here.
- Unplanned - stuff you want to get done at some point (brain dump). Synced tasks not due today will end up here.
- Routines - saved lists of tasks that you can load into either of the above lists whenever you want. This can be useful for repetitive tasks (every morning) or just for planning ahead. You can start the timer from within each list and the tasks will be loading into the Planned list.

Updated Note 4 Verus Cases! (PICS!) topic
Hello everyone. So today I received my case review samples from my contact over at Verus, which are the new updated models to accommodate the Verizon models and I have to say, I am extremely pleased. I'll be doing a review of all the cases that were sent soon but here are some initial things I noticed.
Possibly new packaging?
The label on my previous Verus case didn't have the "[NEW]" tag on the back so this might be one way to indicate the new updated models.

New buttons?
In my review of the Verus Iron Shield, I noted that the buttons were incredibly stiff and difficult to press. Well not anymore. The updated Iron Shield's buttons are so easy to press and I no longer have any issues using this case.
I looked into the new Iron Shield further and here are some pictures to show the revisions. I couldn't find any difference in the aluminum frame but I did find some things on the inner TPU membrane. There's these new slots for the power and volume buttons. Not sure how these would affect button feel but yea... Also, there's a bigger cutout for the left side mic cutout.
Here are the pics:
