[Q] Access Cell Modem topic

I have a galaxy s3 connected to centos 6. I want to access the cellular modem. I have installed the android development kit and rooted the samsung s3. I can get a root shell using 'adb shell'. I installed busybox for 'microcom' but I cant get the serial port to work.

Cyanogenmod 12 Official Nightly Modem topic

Hi All

Before i take plunge into Cyanogenmod 12 can anyone tell me if the official Cyanogenmod 12 Nightly supports the v10L 4.4.2 Modem for D855?

Or do i need to flash the Lollipop V20F modem to ensure compatability?

[Q] Upgrade modem? topic

Hi. I'm currently on CM12 and I have been facing this problem(?) for a while now. Back when I was on stock 4.4.2, most of the time my phone is stuck on EDGE when I'm using my primary sim card (network A). In order to get 3G/4G signal, I have to explicitly choose a network operator. After a while, it reverts back to EDGE so I have to do that again. However, using my other sim (network B) doesn't have this problem. Now that I'm on CM12, I'm still facing the same issue. I can't use that fix since I think there's a problem with the rom itself when choosing the network. I'm thinking either this is a network error or a problem with the modem itself. I'm currently on NF1 and I'm wondering how to upgrade my modem to the latest one. Thanks!

Modem compatibility? topic

I currently own the SPH-L720 and live in the UK now. I've been having GPS issues with updating to Slimkat 4.4.4 build 9 and have tried various NTP/GPS fix apps, but nothing works. Right now I'm on the NG2 modem, but would like to try another modem meant for the UK. Since I have the SPH-L720 which GS4 would be the correct GS4 to use a modem from? GT-I9500? Thanks :)

Hello, I would like to flash the ML1 modem on my Verizon galaxy s3 using Odin, but every time I read info on this topic, I see people saying to use the pda tab, then others saying to use the phone tab. Can anyone tell me definitively which one I'm supposed to use? Thanks.

1. Looking to get the NK3 modem on a stock-ish NF9 build and kernel. Any problems?

2. Not clear on whether HLOS is needed or what it even is?

3. Cannot find an NK3 flashable zip modem, only .bin (that presumably needs ODIN).

[Q] Trouble with WanamLite v3.1 LTE modem XXUGNH7 topic

I've lurked here for answers, but I couldn't find much about my specific issue, I'm trying to figure out how to ask for help, so bear with me
I have the SGH-M919, I'm no stranger to rooting, ROM flashing, and the lot.

So here is my issue, I used Wanam's site to Install the Rom, because I couldn't find the thread here, and it's fantastic. The trouble is, I realized I wasn't getting LTE, and saw there was the optional Modem to download and flash. that's the Issue. this is what happened (this is the result from a combo Wifi-fix/modem package with the same modem, but it did it with just the modem itself)

and after this the phone shows

When I reboot, it's fine, Just still no LTE
I tried different USB cables, different ports, and tried using the PIT, tried even reflashing the bootloader (glad it failed too) but all gave the same result
Basically, What do I do to Flash this, or fix LTE? Thanks in advance

I really need a GALAXY S5 super nerd to help me out. I have bought to 3g/4g routers and have been trying to tether my phone to them via USB. I am having no luck at all. The model of the routers are TP-LINK: TL-MR3420 and SAPIDO GR-1222. I really need help.

SGS5 Modem - NI2 or NG3 please topic

The AIO FAQ is definitely out of date because I clearly remember downloading either NI2 or NG3 stand-alone modem file for my AT&T SGS5. Could someone please link me to that modem? Or do I need to flash to stock ROM and run OTA update to get NI2 modem? There was a dedicated thread that had a link to stand-alone NG3 modem. That I remember for a fact.

Amyway, I am looking for a flashable JellyBean baseband (modem) please for my LG G2 D802 (international). The reason for this is because I am using a Lollipop ROM and the auto rotate feature does not work. Any help would be much appreciated.

Anyone have a d855 v10L modem zip ? topic

I backed up my kitkat 4.4.2. Rom with twrp before flashing a custom lollipop rom, but forgot to backup the modem partition. After a few searches a few modems show up both here and in google search but the links are on mega file sharing site, mega doesn't work on my mobile even with the app.
So if some kind person could post a twrp 10l or 10m modem zip on a dropbox or similar site, I would be most appreciated, thanks.

Just a question for Canadian Note 3 (SM-N900W8)

For the video recording fix for Lollipop ROM, it tells us to flash the LATEST modem. The catch is, since the first update to 4.4.2, there was no more recent update with the firmware and modem.
What modem can you recommend us flashing for SM-N900W8. T.I.A
