Hi xda ! I'm hoping someone can help me ! I have a Verizon LG g3 I was messing with custom rooms and I flashed cyanongen lolipop and decided I didn't like,it ( I know weird) but I flashed back the the Rom I liked prior and realized my phone didn't recognize the SIM anymore. So I tried different rooms and have come to the conclusion it won't read Sims anymore. I want to unroot and go to complete stock, I have tried the different ways online and I can't find how to change port settings. If someone could assist me in either flashing back or any ideas on why it won't recognize Sims because I want to fix it that would be great! i have tried all the common sense jazz, even got verizon to try to fix it on their end but nothing will work. the steps on the help sites i find look soo simple however i always get stuck on the "change port settings" option as i can find that option in my device manager, even had a friend try on his computer he is better with me in tech and we both couldnt figure it out! i really hope someone has some tips for me because I hate to have a great phone like that sitting around !!

Another N6 on Verizon Experience topic

I just got my N6 from GPS and successfully connected to VZW.
Contrary to what is being said by some users in this forum, even if you buy N6 from GPS, still VZW could not find your device ID on their network (white list) which leads to some hiccups in activation process. This is what I did to make it work:
1) Requested a nano SIM from VZW. No questions asked. SIM was mailed to me.
2) First I put the SIM in N6, called VZW to actiivate the phone. It did not work as they could not identify my device
3) Then, I put the new SIM in my wifes' iPhone5 ( which is already active on VZW network with its ano sim ), asked the guy on phone to active. He did it and it worked.
4) Then I took the new SIM from iphone5 and placed it in my N6. The N6 is activated with no problems
5) I put the old sim back in my wife's phone and the phone came back to its original state and bound back to its original phone number.

I could have activated the new SIM in my old phone (Note 2) as it only takes micro SIMs and hahing phone with a nano SIM is the key to get your N6 activated on VZW

So far it is working very well and showing up as NON-VZW Device. I hope that the big red will soon start supporting N6 so that my device will show up correctly on their network.
One small problem. If you want to change your plan, your online account poratl will not allow you and advises you to call VZW. When I saw that message, I called them and was told that my change of plan option was locked up because I have NON-VZW device in my account ( I want to know if other have the same experince). He said it is not a problem and if I want to change my plan right now he can temporarily chnage the device to something else that is supported so that I can change my plan. He also said this will be like this until VZW start offering N6 officially on ther network. No big deal for me. I like VZW network coverage and in fact it is the only network that has a coverage at my work area. Other than the rumors of N6 coming to VZW on Feb 26th, are there any other more concrete news of when it might be coming to VZW if al all that happens ?

[Q] Bought used phone, won't activate with new sim from verizon topic

Hey M8 crew!

New to the M8, just bought the phone from swappa. Apparently it has root/s-off/some lollipop build installed on it. Clean ESN.

Took it into verizon to activate it on my line, but the sim doesn't appear to activate as they expect. It detects that it was inserted, says to reboot, after reboot still says no service, and never performs any activation. Verizon rep was claiming that the rom was causing the failures, and it does appear to likely be software related if it is never launching the activation. VZW tech support was no help other than saying it may take up to 12 hours to activate the sim (bs meter going off). Spent 2 hours in the store trying to get it to activate, saying everything was fine on their end. Tried a couple sims in store to rule out a bad sim. Have even tried the tape on the sim trick to see if that might have something to do with it.

Has anyone ever seen / heard of this sort of situation before and have any idea of how to fix it?

Would a stock RUU flash help out in anyway?

Is it because it is not a verizon rom that the activation is not happening? Would I somehow be able to use a different verizon phone to activate the sim, then put it in my phone and have service start working?

Any ideas?

My friend accidently bought HTC one M8 verizon from UAE, the phone is new with kitkat 4.4.2, everything is fine but when he tried to update the rom, it failed and says that software update only works in CDMA mode, this is what i actually dont understand, is this locked or unlocked mobile? and is there any possibility to unlock this phone like normal unlocked M8?

Just got a small update on the z3v. It's not lollipop. [emoji20]...it's still 4.4.4 and same Kernal too....It enhances nfc.

Help required verizon samsung s5 - activate hidden codes topic

I am using verizon sansung s5 900v on a network other than verizon. I wanted to know whether i can activate the hidden codes without rooting my set. Further is it possible to use other network 4g on this set. I have heard that i can only use other network 4g if i can enable hidden codes. I dont want to root my device. Any help would be highly appreciated

So long story short I pre ordered a note 4. I found out I could get one sooner at the Verizon store so they canceled my pre order and I got a phone. Two weeks later my pre order showed up. Its been several months now and they haven't charged me and the IMEI is free and clear. Should I call Verizon or chalk this up as getting g a return for years of getting screwed on my bill

[Q] Nexus 6 Verizon Network problem topic

I've had a T-mobile Nexus 6 on Verizon network since Thanksgiving. I've had no problems at all UNTIL today. Woke up and my network symbol has an exclamation point next to it and when I try and make calls it sends me to Verizon's customer account services. Also, a dropdown bar with the words "sign into network" appear. After clicking on it it sends me to the Verizon's broadband page.
Anybody else have this problem and no what to do? Wanna run this by before I call and navigate customer service.

My problem are:
The cell was not detected Network Claro Honduras , only serves me for calls and messages , have already set apn in agencies and nothing, also does not serve me quickremote because apparently does not serve the infrared , also can see no lights lED notifications q is in front , plus serves no tHE Knock Code
I wonder if all these problems are the fault of the Rom stock or telephone, could solve it by putting a Rom free stock q non- verizon, recommending me:crying::crying::crying::crying:

Hi, all~ If anything below bothers, forgive me 'cause I'm a newbie :confused:

I'm currently using Verizon Note 4 on T-mobile network. It seemed perfect in the beginning, but a few issues have been found.

1. Touchpad not working when connected to the automated system ?
(when the phone is connected to the automated system, we are often required put a number to select an option. But, even if I touch a number, it never gets through.)

2. Wifi-Calling:
Is there anyway to use wifi-calling?

3. Mobile Hotspot:
Mobile hotspot is not activate.

If you know a solution to any of the issues listed above, please let me know.

Hello All,
Just officially signed up to this forum as I've exhausted all of my research.

Background:
In Dec, I jumped on the bandwagon and purchased 2 phones that were advertised as 1st Gen Moto X DEV Edition XT1060 - Verizon from a 3rd party vendor on EBAY. There were quite a few sold on this vendor site (many of you were probably also looking at this phone due to the good price). I have already read the post-purchase vendor reviews to see if anyone experienced what has happened to me and didn't see any negative reviews. Anyway, just got the phones on Friday and was preparing to finally put my Droid X's to rest and activate the Moto X's. After opening the phones, I was disappointed to not see the "Developer Edition" imprint on the back of either phone, meaning that I believe that I have the standard plain-jane consumer 1st gen Moto X - Verizon .

All of my research (the XDA and various other sites) indicates that if there is no "Developer Edition" imprinted on the back, then it is not a Moto X Dev Edition...period. Before I call the vendor tomorrow and raise cain with them, I was wondering if there is any other way I can determine if I have DEV edition phone WITHOUT powering up the phones because I don't want to activate these phones in case I decide to return them for a refund. Can I confirm simply by the IMEI number and without calling/chatting with Motorola direct. I'm also tracking that the warranty doesn't apply if not purchased from Motorola direct.

I understand that the bootloader can still be unlocked on a non-DEV version (thus voiding warranty) and I can still achieve my rooting/tethering etc, but that's not the point. The point is that I believe I have received a product that is not what I paid for as advertised by the vendor. Funny thing is that the factory sticker on the boxes the phones came in lists the phone as a MOTXT1060DEV, but again, not DEV Edition imprint on the back of the phone.

Appreciate the help from the Moto X subject matter experts on this site.

[Q] No data on Verizon S4 after flashing custom rom topic

My S4 running Echoe rom via Safestrap refuses to use any 3G/4G etc data connection. I can call people just fine, though. I tried setting up an APN, but apparently it got removed from Settings, and I don't even think it matters with Verizon. I'm on 4.4.2 NK1. Is there any mod that I can flash to solve this?

Alright, so I picked up a new S5 from Verizon today running NK2. Played with it a few hours, and I wanted to get it rooted and BusyBoxed and debloated. So I follow the instructions I find here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...42&postcount=1

Followed all instructions to the T, and when I Odin'ed it back to NK2 (Step 7) and rebooted, WiFi no longer works and random apps force close.

Is there a different/better method for getting rooted once the phone is on the NK2 firmware, or should I just Odin it back to stock and live with it?


I'd appreciate the help. I'm coming from an S1, 3, and 4 which have had many many many ROMS on them without issue, so I'd like to think I know what I'm doing.

Also, if I do Odin a stock version, should I do NK2, or is there a more "Open" firmware better for rooting?
