App updates fail to install - "connection with device is lost" [SOLVED] topic

I was having issues updating some apps within the Gear Apps Store, the error message "Gear app not installed connection to device is lost" even though there was a working Bluetooth connection and everything was functioning normally.

I tried:

Rebooting both the watch and the phone
Checking and trying various comms settings
Deleting cache and data for the Gear App Store
Re-installing the Gear App Store itself

After a lot of head scratching I was resigning myself to perform a factory reset of the Gear S.
I got it to work by simply uninstalling the app that needed the update, (in my case it was one of the clocks) and then re-installing it. All now working as it should!

The error message is completely misleading and it will get you believing it's a connection issue which it clearly isn't.

I thought I would share this with you in case you came across this problem.

Downloaded stock rom from sm.
Tried to flash - fail at hidden.img.ext
FLASh failed.

Now i can't boot my phone.

Knox is still on 0x0
Kies doesnt recognise my phone to try recovery...

Lollipop and AES WiFi Fail topic

Apologies if this has been noted elsewhere. The search didn't bring it up.

Since upgrading my OPO to CM12, I have noted that after deep sleeping, my phone wakes with a "Wifi Authentication Error," without fail. Apparently, Lollipop has a coding problem, wherein it won't reconnect to AES, but apparently is ok in reconnecting to routers with TKIP encryption. Unfortunately for me, TKIP disables WPS, and I have several devices that use WPS to connect to my network (Printers), so I need AES.

Looking at the following page, it seems I am not alone, and that a lot of people have the same issue.

I will state right now, that I am definitely not attacking the CM devs, as this looks thoroughly like a Google coding issue.

All downloads on different roms fail topic

So, I've been having this issue for a while now. I can't download over any browser, I can' software update etc... I've tried several Sense roms, I've tried CM and I've tried MIUI. None helped. I've also tried different kernels, that didn't help either. If you could tell me a solution to my problem, that would be greatly appreciated. :D

[Q] Fail after root topic

I try to root my moto g xt1032 but now I have a problem.
I unlock bootloader and I start root my phone. Before root I watched a lot of tutorials about root on yt.
When I finish root i see on phone screen inscription "Finish" or "Success" and after 2sec black screen. I could't do anything. I try press power button but nothing.. After 3hours plug in the charger to moto g and I see empty battery. But the problem is with power button.
Power button is not working.. I don't know maybe somebody know how to fix it. I need your help. thanks

Hello everyone,

First time here and completely lost with my Coolpad F2.
Tried to flash recovery this way it is described here:

but after restarting the phone I got the message:

Image signature verify fail

and the start-up logo of the F2. Pretty much this is it, the phone turns off. I can't get into the recovery either as it shows the same message each time I want to turn it on. I guess it's bricked somehow and I must have done something wrong with the tutorial.

Does anybody have any idea how do tackle it?
If some more information is needed just let me know - I'm completely new to this and don't exactly feel there can be a cure for that.

fastboot status fail invalid argument - Galaxy Nexus topic

Hello

I'm using phone Galaxy Nexus (GSM).
A few days ago the phone began to slow down but I haven't paid much attention on it. This morning, it just started to reboot, after 10-60 seconds of work. I decided to reset it to native settings via fastboot - Recovery mode - wipe data / factory reset.
After starting of the command it shows:

Formatting / data ...
Formatting / cache ...
Data wipe complete.

After reboot, the phone loads with my old data, and with the problems described above.
I tried to use SKIPSOFT ANDROID TOOLKIT

1 Set the drivers
2 Unlocked Bootloader
3 SKIPSOFT ANDROID TOOLKIT - the phone sees and displays serial number
4 I select the "Download and install the Google factory Stock Rom". The programm downloads stock Android 4.3 and during installation it on the phone, the error is showing:
fastboot status fail invalid argument

All the given methods with the search engines do not help, I tried different PC, different USB ports, tried to download different versions of Android OS starting from 4.1. Everything stops at fastboot status fail invalid argument

Stock Android 4.3 is installed on my phone. Haven't used any other insertions. For insertion I use native cord.

Please tell me what could be the problem.
