Nexus 6 - difference between both models topic

I love this handset. So much so that i purchased another one. The first one i purchased on the 9th of december for £499, and the second just yesterdyesterdayay for £549. Call me crazy, but it got so bad i was actually dreaming about the white 64gb version as i had originally purchased the blue 32gb version.

The nexus is not perfect. It has a few faults that need to be addressed, firstly being the in ear call volume. Its awful. The volume for listening to music via headphones is awful too. I was expecting so much betterbetter considering the stereo speakers are really good. The handsFree volume is also mediocre, and also, when i tap the handsfree icon during a call, theres a pause/delay of a few seconds which has become an increasing annoyance.

Anyhow, back to the main point. The white 64gb versions screen is inferior to the 32gb blue version i have. Its noticeable. The 64gb screen has a tint to it, isnt as vibrant and colors seem more washed out. Has anybody else experienced this? ive become disheartened. I wanted to love it as much as i do as the 32gb blue version, but its annoying that the screen seems inferior and darker and tinted.

I Love absolutely everything else about this handset. I am literally in love with lollipop, the screen size, the stereo speakers etc, but this difference ive noticed is playing on my mind. I have also noticed the 64gb is slower at opening apps when i place them side by side.

Either way, i still love the blue 32gb, and i am totally out of pocket for the remainder of the year due to these purchases, but Google has definitely injected some magic in there somewhere. Ive never purchased 2 same handsets around the same time before.

Difference between models?? topic

Okay so I am confused... I have a Telus XT1097, There is a xt1097 sold in the US as well as XT1095 (PE from motomaker) Mexico and Brazil also have XT1097 both have been updated OTA. In the US everyone but AT&T have been updated, Canada has yet to see an update but what is the difference between all these phones? Is it sim lock (Telus) or sim lock and boot loader lock (also Telus but unlock able) It would seem that other than region, they should all be equal no?

Sideloading Kobo/Other apps and General Questions between 8.9 2013 and 2014 models topic

Hello,

Has anyone successfully side loaded the Kobo app? I use that and the Kindle app the most for my e-reading. Also, how does Chrome work on this sideloaded?

I know there is a little bit of a hardware upgrade in the 2014 model. I am trying to decide if it is worth the extra cost over the 2013 model. I mostly use my tablet to read (90%), Surf the web (5%) and watch videos (5%). I maybe play a few games but I generally do that on my phone. I am a prime member so I want to take advantage of that. What do you think about whether it is worth it or not?

Can the Amazon Fire OS play 720p MKV files natively?

I have a FireTv and would like the ability to "fling" the screen. How does this work? Is it just a miracast thing? Does the 2013 version have the ability to do that? Has the 2013 version been updated to the newest version of FireOS?

Lastly, since the 2013 and 2014 versions look identical, to my knowledge, what is the best way to tell them apart? I may be buying a used one and just want to know.

Whats the difference between: [D6653/D6603/D6633] models? topic

Hey guys!

I've been thinking of unlocking the bootloader and trying out one of the experimental CM12 ROMs here. Apparently some ROMs only support the D6603 model or one or the other. Are differences between the devices only radio bands? Should I flash one, will there be any major issues like the device not booting or perhaps bricking it?

Thanks guys!
