[Q] ROM/Kernel Recommendation topic

]Hey guys,

I'm owning the Galaxy Ace S5830 and about two years ago I used to change the ROM and Kernel frequently.
Then I lost my phone and I didn't have a Galaxy Ace for almost two years.

I sure in those 2 years there changed a lot here, so my question is, if you could recommend a suitable ROM and Kernel for me. That would safe lots of time for me.

Right now I'm using Android 2.3.6. rooted and LinktoSD with an ext2-partition.

All I want is a stable ROM that is faster than the current one and better in battery lifetime. I do not play any video games on my phone. I just use it to get information about the next train/bus/tube connections in my city, to organize me, to take photos on parties and to watch videos on YouTube sometimes.

I would be very nice if you could help me!

[Q] i9505 rom recommendation topic

Hi,
i am looking for a custom rom for i9505
my requirements are: (by order of imprtance)
1. S5/NOTE4 touchwiz look and feel + features
2. NO fast dormancy! (my carrier does not support this feature)
3. stability
4. battery life
5. performance

I tried goldfinger V8 rom, it looks great but it has FD on, and i could not find a way to disable it.

any recommendation / advice would be most appreciated

Recommendation: Disable Diagnostic Report Collection by T-Mobile topic

T-Mobile Galaxy Note 3 (SM-N900T) comes with software diagnostics package. This system process periodically scans the device for several information and sends the data to T-Mobile servers:
1) Updated/Uninstalled Apps from last scan.
2) App data compilation information.
3) Signal information.
4) Number of successful calls/texts/data services.
5) Number of times the processor was running in full capacity.

Disable this by going to settings-->Accounts-->Backup/Factory Reset-->Collect Diagnostics--> Uncheck the box.
You may leave the checkmark in tact if you would still like to send your device data to T-Mobile. I recommend disabling it because there are no benefits of sending data to T-Mobile. You will not receive faster updates, get new features and/or receive better signal by sending the data.

[Q] Recommendation. Fake U8, what should I replace with? topic

Hi Guys,

I recently got a fake U8 (no about us page etc) I really liked the watch but it was missing some features like vibration only and different clock faces.

I'm looking at getting another smartwatch and wanted to know your thoughts. Is it worth trying to find a real U8 or is the U10 or U+ 2015 better to go with?
Is there any cheap watches that have lots of faces or customization faces? apparently the U+ only has the one digital face :S
