I have installed the XDA aPP to be able to browse this forums quickly on my note 3.
But.. How can i re-arrange the list of visible forums..

there are lot of forums which I do not want to see in the search results as well while browsing.

Is it possible to delete/hide some forums, so those do not come into search results when searching and also not listed.

This option should be better for advanced users. :good:

ok I just got a razor m on ebay.
it was on JB
I rooted it with towelroot3
unlocked the boot loader with motopocolypse

but the recoveries I see are for kitkat.
i did a check for software updates and it found one and down loaded it successfully
updated is successfully and i am not on

android version 4.1.2
kernel 3.0.31-g101ca72
build 9.8.1q-78

my goal is to get this to cm12 or at least cm11

so I think I need to get to kitkat should I just get cm11 and flash the whole thing. is that right.

1. Is your internet for your nexus slow? Because my wi fi speeds on this thing is terrible, do you know any fixes?
2. I like to be rooted, but I also like to be stock android. Is there a way to do this without wiping all my data every upgrade? Also if there is a method to not wipe your data, is it safe?

[Q] Some small basic questions topic

Hello,

I'm making a presentation about flashing Custom-ROMs, especially the HD2, and have some basic questions:

• Can't you just install an Android over the SD-Method (via leoimg.nbh) just like flashing a Stock-ROM?


• How can I install an Android with MagLdr without CWM-Recovery? Can you install .zip with this way or do I need CWM-Recovery everytime with MagLdr?

I am using the normal method, but I just want to know what for other ways are possible theoretically.

I will get a xperia l from my bro tomorrow and want to Root and Flash CM12 lollipop then
But before that i got some questions about the bootloader, because i rooted and flashed just for one time a Samsung Galaxy ace 3.

1. have i to Root the phone before unlocking bootloader or after that? (Wanna use RootGenius)
2. do i need a new recovery like Cwm or can i flash the new Rom zip with the unlocked bootloader?
3. if unlocking dont work: someone got a link for flashing cwm using odin?

I am new to the world of smartphones. I chose LG G3 S – D722 with Android 4.4.2 – for the qualities of the LG G3, with the lower price of the small version. On PC I use Archlinux and have installed adb and fastboot from the community repositories. My phone is ready to be rooted (provided it can be done, which I am not sure yet). I do have questions, and also found a first error message in the output of the console while launching the PurpleDrake Lite script for Linux.

Where should I ask for one and the other(s)?

I need some info about a used Verizon g3 I purchased. Everything works fine, but I can't see where to check if the latest software is updated?
When I go to the phone info area, there's no tab to touch to check.

Does that mean this phone has been rooted? Excuse me.... I'm a newbie.... don't really know how to distinguish between rooted and non rooted.

How would I ever update the phone? Does Verizon do it automatically?

I'm grandfathered in with unlimited data and can tether freely with this phone, a surprise to me.
Would I compromise this with any Verizon updates?

[Q] I have some simple questions about the storage/emulated folder that need answers topic

The longer I have my Shield Tablet, the internal storage space seems to slowly vanish more and more. I have been constantly clearing cache, as well as uninstalling more and more apps. The entire internal storage folder (labeled storage/sdcard0), takes up a total of only 3.77 GB according to ES File Explorer, yet I have less than 2 GB free. I have noticed there is a folder labeled: storage/emulated. Within this folder are "0" and "legacy"... Both of these folders appear to be complete clones of the sdcard0 folder (each are exactly 3.77 GB as well). All three of these folders add up to equal the total storage used on the internal storage. So can I really only use a third of the internal storage since everything is duplicated 3 times? Is it safe to delete the contents of either of the 2 folders within storage/emulated? What is the purpose of these folders?

[Q] Beginner ROM developing/modification questions. topic

First of all, I have a few years experience of ROM, kernel flashing, rooting, etc. to differrent devices. I began interested in the developing itself, so I looked for guides. Found some very useful guides, but I feel I'm missing something.
I built my first ROM from source today for my G2, which is a CM11 ROM. My question is: Is it possible to combine the CM11 features and the stock LG ROM's features? I mean the stock LG applications like Quick Remote,LG Backup, and some UI elements for example. Is it possible? What would be better/easier, to add the LG features to CM ROM, or add the CM features to LG's ROM? If I'm asking stupid question sorry, but I'm newbie. :)

[Q] Missing USB Internet and Charging modes - and other USB questions topic

When I first got my G3, completely stock, on the 12b update, when I connected to USB, I had four modes: MTP, PTP, Ethernet, and Charging.

Since I got the phone, I rolled back to 10b so that I could root with Stump. I am also, unlocked and loaded TWRP (Bump), and then I re-updated to 12b; and I've frozen a bunch of the Verizon bloatware the phone came with. I also installed the Hotspot mod so I could do WiFi tether.

Now that I've done all that, I'm missing the USB modes for Ethernet and Charging. Only MTP and PTP remain. I did not freeze anything that I would think would relate to these options?

USB charging is abysmally slow, so I'm mainly asking about this because I'm hoping the "Charging" allows for faster USB charging. Anyone know if it does?

Also interestingly, prior to this, I was having to select the Internet->Ethernet mode to use ADB. I no longer have to do that? ADB now works over MTP and PTP. I'm wondering if this is due to the hotspot mod from: http://forum.xda-developers.com/veri...vs985-t2918118 ?

Lastly, how can I make it so the phone stops often defaulting to "Installer" mode when plugged in? Really annoying, as I already have the drivers installed.
