[Q] Poor battery life? topic

Hi, I bought my moto g 2014 2 days ago, I bought it because I briefly owned the 2013 version and I had great battery performance on that device.
Yesterday, I got only around 2.5 hours of on screen time, I installed titan rom and today I got 3.5 hours so it did improve, but in the battery thread most people are getting 5 hours of on screen time so I know it can perform better.
Do you think is because the battery is still calibrating?
I have good signal most of the time so I don't think that's the cause.

avoid poor internet connection topic

Happy new year to everybody.
I just got this on a rooted gpad. Reboot, turn wifi on/off didn't work. I read about resetting to factory device or router. Before doing that, I stuck a static ip/mask/gateway/dns to the device and it worked. (If you long press the essid, 'modify', 'advanced settings'). Does anybody know why this happens? In any case, if anybody has a similar problem, sticking a static ip, you may avoid resetting etc.
Best

[Q] Nexus 4 freezing when cell signal is poor topic

Hello,

I have recenly observed that when my Nexus 4 (running stock 5.0.1 Android) is left in an area where cell reception is poor, it would freeze: the power button will no longer turn the phone on, I would need to press it for several seconds to do a hard reset.
Yesterday the notification LED was still blinking when this happened. I have recently replaced the lcd assembly, could this be related? According to an app called Phone Tester, the proximity sensor is working.
Is there a way to make the system store some kind of log that could indicate why the phone became unresponsive? Thank you for all the support in advance.

Poor call quality topic

Does the G2 in general have crap call quality? I've got a pair of LS980, one on Ting, and one of Ringplus--both sound like crap, both sound heavily compressed and robotic; people say I sound garbled and echoey. The microphones on both though, I've tested by recording myself, I've tested by calling my voicemail and recording new greetings, and all that sounds truly pristine.

I'd like to think it's just crappy Sprint service, but on Virgin Mobile and Boost Mobile in this area (on different phones) the call quality was excellent, no issues. Maybe just Ting and Ringplus to blame? Maybe the ls980 is just crap for call quality? I do not know but am very concerned.

Maybe I should try T-mobile and see how that sounds? How much slower the data speeds are since I'll be forsaking LTE? Is it reasonable to convert an ls980 over to Boost Mobile (their plans are quite fetching nowadays)?

Any insight, recommendations, or mad fresh knowledge drops would be appreciated. Thanks!
