Problem with sim card after flashing custom rom topic

After rooting my note 4 with cf auto rootroot, I decided to get a stock lollipop room -liquid smooth.
After flashing the rom everything worked fine, but after a couple of minutes I realized the sim card was not being detected. I still got mobile data, and I could connect to the sprint network. But at the lockscreen at the top left it said "no sim inserted- sprint". I can't toggle mobile data on and off, set a data limit, and in the quick pulldown menu when I tap on the nenetwork icon instead of bringing up my data usage in a small window, it simply takes me to the mobile data settings where all I can do is look at how much data each app is using. The same thing happened when I tried flashing unofficial cm 12. When I went back to the stock touchwiz rom, everything worked fine, and my sim was detected. Even when I got a new sim and flashed liquidsmooth the same problem occurred.

so i used the FlashTool for flashing my android phone (xperia e1) but it didnt work it was stuck on 0%, i think it was because it said before "connected with usb debugging off" (although usb debugging is turned on in my phone). so any other flash software i can try for flashing my device?

No signal after flashing rom topic

I met this problem before, and after switching to some new ROMs, problem got solved... but NOT this time.. No matter what ROM I used, my cellphone still couldn't pick any signal... I even ODINed to stock, still no help... I am using modem NG2 and a SuperS4 NG2 ROM.. I appended some screenshot of my mobile settings. Any help is appreciated.. what ROM/Modem should I flash now.... [Q] Need Help in flashing rom in a phone which does not have ext memory card topic

Hello Guys, i have micromax canvas knight phone which does not have external memory card support. The phone is rooted and i need to flash a rom. For that i need to wipe data/factory reset, as i put the rom zip file in internal memory, rom file would get erased. Since factory reset is mandatory before flashing a new rom through recovery, how can we do that without losing the rom file in internal memory? Please help.

Error when flashing android 5.0 topic

This thread is dedicated to rooting, recovery and flashing for HTC Desire 210 dual sim.

Rooting
Download the FramaRoot app from here.
Install it and open it up.
Select the Barahir Exploit.

Reboot your phone.
Check for the SuperSU app installed on your phone.

If the SU app doesn't appear, try 2-3 times more, your phone will be rooted.
Congrats, your phone will be rooted.

Recovery
The method for entering the recovery on HTC's website is wrong and plainly opens the factory test mode.

For entering the recovery, Switch off your phone.
Press and hold the Power and Vol Up button simultaneously.
Now relax. Use only Volume Down to Scroll and Voume Up to select.
Select Recovery from the list by pressing Volume up while highlighting it.
You are now booted into Recovery. This recovery is a plain Android 3e recovery but with a Nandroid Backup/Restore functionality.

Alternatively if you rooted your phone, you can grab a terminal emulator from the Play Store type in:

You will be rebooted into recovery.

[Q] Error while flashing a CM based ROM after downgrading to KK from 5.0 topic

So, I had Asia 5.0.2 and I saw a FIUI ROM for our device at the MIUI forums. I decided to give this a go and first downgraded to KK and then tried to flash the zip from TWRP and Philz recovery but got this error:

"Can't install this package on top of incompatible data. Please try another package or run a factory reset"

I thought it might be a ROM specific error, but I also tried to flash CM11 but got the same error. How can I get around this? Is this an issue with the updater script or something?

Any help will be appreciated.

OK, so I got the unofficial of the android development thread thing for the ATT HTC One m8 and just found out that Cyanogen just released a official nightly. So I go to install it, have zip and gapps. I wiped all cache, system, and data. Flashed zip but says error, I'm like wtf. It says I need to update a bininary or something. My android tech skills are at like 5/10 so I'm stuck here. With the unofficial I'm on android version 5.0.1 and I think the nightly I have is 5.0.3 (CM12 I have 2015-01-12 15:25:50). So any thoughts or recommendations on my dilemma please let me know. Thanks

[Q] Flashing Problem in micromax a68 topic

I am having problem flashing roms my Micromax a68.
The phone is rooted with Kingroot and have Kinguser and busybox installed.
I have installed the Lewa recovery image too.
For flashing the rom, I copied the rom "Cyanbook v0.4" to the sd card in my phone, switched on the phone in recovery mode, cleared out the factory, dalvik cache and caches and then installed the rom.
The rom gets fully installed and a notification on the screen says "Reboot to enjoy Cyanbook". Then I'm rebooting.
The phone starts with the welcome graphics, then after a while, the menu,home and back buttons under the screen lights up and the phone gives a slight vibration.
Now everything till this is as per the protocol as after the vibration, the screen enters the OS.
But the thing here is, even after the vibration, the screen is stuck at the welcome graphics and is not going into the OS.
I tried a different version of the rom and that also gave similar problem.
Now..after this, i tried to reboot the phone, the phone reboots as per norms automatically with the previous OS which was there before i installed the rom.

It would be great if you could give the solution step by step as i am not an expert or anything :)

N.B- 1. These roms worked perfectly before, but recently i had a brick and had to give the phone to an engineer who used a box to install a stock rom in the phone.
2. I dont think its a regular still boot screen problem, as in those times the phone buttons dint light up, neither was there the vibration.

Allview A5 Duo Restarts after flashing ROM topic

So, I have flashed many ROMs on this phone. As most of them worked , some of them had problem where when I entered the camera or flashlight my phone would restart. And now I really want to know what is the problem as it became pretty annoying. Allview A5 Duo is the romanian equivalent of the Gionne P2 and Walton Primo F2 , as I saw from my searches. And some of the ROMs which have the camera bug on my phone on those phone works. So if someone could help me It would be awesome. ( and sorry if I didn't post this where I should have, I am a begginer here ^^).

Cant return to stock htc sense after flashing lollipop htc one m8 att topic

My S4 running Echoe rom via Safestrap refuses to use any 3G/4G etc data connection. I can call people just fine, though. I tried setting up an APN, but apparently it got removed from Settings, and I don't even think it matters with Verizon. I'm on 4.4.2 NK1. Is there any mod that I can flash to solve this?

on 9 Jan I posted: I have rooted my One S ville, installed SuperSU and TWRP. i am now trying to flash CM10.2.0 ville, but getting errors. I wiped my storage, but when I run the flash process it tells me "failed to get default contexts and file mode for storage files" ( looks to me like a permissions problem). Then at the end it tells me it had an error executing update binary, etc etc.

So what is the fix?

Part 2: on 11 Jan update: I think I put myself in a hole.. I read about the issues with s-off on HTC devices. So I did the steps to make my recovery ROM (TWRP) my boot ROM. I still could not flash CM10 or CM12 or superuser, for the same errors as above. NOW when I boot into any mode, it always goes to TWRP.

So a while back I thought it would be better to use a custom ROM, but after my recent thread it would just be the same to root the device and use a custom ROM since I'd get updates anyway.

I'm not sure if this is a thread I should be looking at or if it is relevant to what I want to do. I want to go back to the custom ROM and then root it. I just need pointers on what to do and where to start.

Here are some specs of the device:

Just a last question: If I go back to the stock ROM, I'd still be able to root and get Lollipop, right?

tl;dr: How do I go back to the stock ROM and root, and then would I get updates (Lollipop)?
