Hello I'm getting a new software update on my 816 but it doesn't say what stuff its gonna add or update any idea where I can see that
Software update : 1.58.401.11 ( 147.08 MB ) It's only say this update contain important system improvements thanks .

Free WiFi tethering on sprint NK4 Software? topic

I've got the galaxy s5 (kltespr) sprint. I'm thinking about root because there are certain features I'd like. One of them being a free WiFi tether mod I've seen. But the only thing is it supposedly works only on the NCB firmware. Is there a mod that works with the nk4 firmware that enables free hot spot tethering?

Has anyone thought about it already? I'm no developer myself but I think it would be a cool inclusion to have it on my Note 3 (Exynos) . What i mean by this question is that, could we emulate the software of the edge screen,by taking up a part of the Note's screen which acts like the actual curve on the Note edge and displays notifications and important stuff. Any comments? If anyone is willing to try, I'll be a tester. Thank you :)

Well , My note 4 is not working with the newly purchased GEAR VR that made me sad,
However i wounder if i can flash a ROM to solve this , the message i am getting is "The Gear VR is not compatible with your current software . an update will be available soon .."?

ANDROID VERSION 4.4.4

Hope someone can guide me to a ROM supported by my phone which will work with My GearVR.

My phone just let me know there is a new OTA ATT Software Update. Has anybody gone through with the update? What does it upgrade? Will I lose root if I upgrade?

[Q] Camera software and camera apps topic

Hello everyone. I keep reading on various reviews that Xperia Z3 gives worse front camera photos than iPhone 6, which has 1.2 MP front camera and Z3 has 2 MP front camera, and that this is probably due to Sony's software and image processing. People say the same things for the rear camera - that it gives worse photos than Sony's cameras on other phones and that that is because of Sony's software.

So my question is - if I install a camera app from the market, will that app give me better front and rear camera photos? Since it's not Sony's software, but some other? Or do those camera apps just put filters on photos? What is this "camera software" that everyone blames for lower quality of photos and how can it be altered to give better photos? Do third-party camera apps give different photos or do they also use Sony's software? How can I make my photos better? :confused:

[Q] SmartWatch 2 Software failure topic

Ok, I have had the Sony SmartWatch 2 for about 6 months now and it has worked great for me until I got a new phone. I upgraded from a Samsung Galaxy S4 to a Galaxy S5. When I did this, I wiped the watch completely and reinstalled all the apps to the phone in which the apps pushed a new firmware to the phone, this was to allow for the 3 watch faces. Once I did that, the watch/phone connection works great, untill...I disconnect the bluetooth connection between the phone/watch for an extended period of time. I am not sure how long extended is but from the time I get home at night until I get ready to go to work the next morning is what I have been doing lately. Once I get up and get ready, I turn bluetooth back on and the phone will not connect to the watch and the Sony SmartConnect app starts to crash. The only way to get this to work again is to wipe the watch and reconnect all over again.

I went through yesterday and uninstalled all the apps, including the SmartConnect and the Smatwatch2 app needed to connect the watch, re-paired the two together and it worked until this morning when it failed again.

Any ideas? I really don't want to have to scrap the watch for something newer.

[Q] Questions Related to Software Update topic

I have 3 questions:
1. When this lolipop rom will be stable?
2. As CyanogenMod and oneplus one 2 companies facing some problem and oneplus one making their own lolipop rom not CM 12, so will it cause so many problem and delays of getting new updates?
3. Will we be able to update new internal software update from setting>about phone>software update as we had gotten previously For example: cm-11.0-XNPH38S to cm-11.0-XNPH44S ?
Please answer if anyone kind enough out there.

Does any know how to restore the access menu (to change settings) when you open the Camera app?
