[Q] Stock ringtones replaced despite deleting contents of OEM partition topic

Hi,

So I recently got my AT&T Nexus 6 and was eager to rid it of its molestations. I followed the guide on this thread:

I got to the portion where you delete or rename the OEM partition and use the terminal command to just wipe the whole partition. That's when I got this error:

Luckily, another user here had the same problem, and a user named Bodosom had a solution:

I followed this method to delete the contents of the partition. I didn't bother unmounting the partition. I restarted my device and it worked! The AT&T splash screen was gone and I was happy. That is, until I went to change my ringtones.

I discovered that the alarm and ringtone folder both contained the correct file names for the files, i.e. Titania, etc., but when you played any of the files you got AT&T tones instead. I compared these with my Nexus 5 to make sure I wasn't just crazy. I checked the OEM partition again and it was definitely empty. Somehow, the AT&T files had replaced the AOSP files except for in name. I re-flashed stock android 5.0.1 and the problem persists. To make matters worse, when I try to select a custom ringtone, the filetype is not supported (both .wav and .mp3).

Any idea what's happening here? Is it something with the SIM card? Are AT&T's machinations more cunning than they were at first? Help would be appreciated.

Need refresh the chat contents freshly topic

how to refresh the chat tab after entering the messasge and click the button. for now it loads the chat contents multiple times and listings. i need to clear and load fresh contents in each interval.

here i used to refresh the activity

LoadOutboxRefresh class have the list of chat contents. it loads the interval time but showing multiple contents as same list.

please anyone help me to resolve this....

Nandroid backup, navigation, contents and accessibility? topic

I'm really out of my depth here, so I figured I'd ask you all for help! My Samsung Galaxy S2 sgh-I727 recently got stuck in a boot loop (most likely due to a faulty power button), and I have a new phone coming in on Monday to replace it (as it's quite outdated). I was able to use ODIN to flash CWM onto the phone, which I used to make an Nandroid Backup onto my SD Card. I then put the SD card into a friend's phone, then transferred them onto my computer, merged the files together (data.ext4.tar.a and data.ext4.tar.b and the system.ext4's), then used winrar to explore the resultant file folder.

I am mainly looking to get my contacts back, and, if possible, various media, such as pictures, music, videos, etc. From my poor Google-fu, i noticed that many people mentioned that Nandroid does not backup sdcard, but I was unsure whether that meant external sd card or the sdcard storage directory (sdcard0 and such). If it does not backup pictures, music, videos, etc., is there possible a way to use CWM or such to backup these files?

Also, I found a .com that looks like it might contain contacts, maybe, but I'm not sure how I would access them to find it.

If I can clarify this in any way, I will try! If this might also do in a better place, just let me know! I'd appreciate any possible help!

how to transfer phone contents from Galaxy S4 to Galaxy Note 4? topic

Hey all - need some quick help if you don't mind

Have a ATT Samsung Galaxy S4 i337 with safestrap Custom ROMs etc. Just purchased an unlocked Tmobile Galaxy Note 4 and plan on using my S4 Sim in it.

I want to transfer all from the S4 to the Note 4 and try not to lose anything if possible. I can obviously backup everything gmail related, and us TiBu for the rest. But to make it super easy, is the best way to use Samsung Smart Switch on both devices?

Will there be any issues because going from ATT device to a Tmobile device? Or from a custom ROM to a different custom ROM?
