[Q] Moto G xt1032 ROM install errors (No OS installed) topic

I am using the moto g falcon (xt1032). I am using CWM for the moto G the latest one from their website. First I could not mount system however if I format it I can.
I have wiped and formatted all the other data as well in-case it helps. I tried to install the CM12 rom from here:

using sideload returning the following dialog:

restarting adbd...

Pushing the file on gives a very similar error of:

Finding update package...
Opening update package...
Installing update...
E : Error in /data/media/cm-12-20150112-UNOFFICIAL-falcon.zip
(Status 1)


I have also tried TWRP which returns the same error however without the status 1.
Thanks in advance for any help, I have spent hours looking for solutions however status 1 is the most rare error.
I have re-downloaded it a few times, in-case it was a bad download.

Bricked XT1032 topic

So I have a cousins XT1032 I'm trying to fix. What happens is that it doesn't want to boot. After the Motorola Bootanimation it goes to a Black screen, I've read about going into Recovery and Factory Resetting or Wiping Cache and I've done it hundreds of times now and it hasn't changed a thing. I've tried flashing the Stock ROM and everything flashes correctly but when I reboot it goes to the same Black Screen after the Boot animation. I've tried putting a custom recovery (CWM, TWRP, Philz) and it flashes, but when I press Recovery on the phone after flashing, it boots into the Stock Dead android recovery. I'm not sure what else to do. So any help would be great, thanks.

[Q][HELP!] [XT1032] Rear camera not working topic

Ok... the problems started when i started with CM11 stable for my XT1032 (using clockworkmod in order to flash my roms and gapps).

First problem came with Wifi (it wasn't working..) tried many other roms and builds (CodeNameLungo, Paranoid, CM12) just to see if the rom was the problem... until i realized that the only way to fix wifi was to drag the file "WCNSS_qcom_wlan_factory_nv.bin" into the persist folder though a file manager with root access, and it worked, wifi works now.

Now my problem is about the camera, everything works fine yeah, but the rear camera icon isn't appearing anymore, i have searched everywhere with no luck, and was wondering if anyone here in the XDA community have the same issue i have.

If anyone have any idea of what the problem could be, or if anyone went though this already, some help will be very appreciated :highfive:

Hello

Few months ago i bought a motorola g xt1032 from o2 UK. Phone has a many data, so i decide to make a factory reset, and after that my phone is tottaly dead (bootloop).
Firts i download firmware, and tried to flash, everything is ok, but after that phone still won't boot up corectly.

There is no option to install CWM recovery, have no ideah why, but after install phone boot up, blinking blue and restart.
Only TWRP recovery work fine, but after install few roms phone still restarts.
my bootloader is unlocked.

Any idea? I've tried many roms:
GPE_XT1032_KOT49H.M004_CFC.xml
Firmware restore lock and more 4.4.2
RETAIL-GB_FALCON_KLB20.9-1.10-1.24-1.1_cid7_CFC_1FF_SVC.xml

it's strange why CWM won't boot?

I exclude HW damage, phone inside looks like new one and first of all after factory reset works corectly

I have a question. What should the moto g (none gpe) partition format be ?

I know data should be f2fs, but what about system ? My system was set to ext4 as was my cache partition. I heard f2fs is faster than ext4 so changed my system to f2fs.
