Still waiting topic

After all the hype this past summer about Android TV powered by NVidia I spent the last half of 2014 keeping my eyes peeled for Android TV news. Then the release of the Nexus with atom/vr was a big disappointment! Now of all things Razer which I thought for sure would use NVidia goes for Qualcomm another disappointment! There is the upcoming Snail Games OBox which looks interesting but does not appear to be Android TV based? Am I the only one who would like a K1 or for that matter X1 powered box? Yes I admit I am a NVidia fan I can notice graphics that come from NVidia colors are different just personal choice.

Contrary to what most of you here enjoy(Mods, Sideloading, etc.) these things should be a choice not something that has to be done to make the system work for such things as storage for games? I currently own FireTV, Madcatz Mojo, Ouya, ADT1 and it seems to me that android still has a way to go before it truely is ready for the living room out of the box? The issue is difficult one player has HBO Go while the other can load apps and Kodi I have been searching for that box that can do all of this DAY 1 ? I am getting older and while I enjoy reading this forum and all the talent it contains I just don't have the energy to perform all these mods just to get what I consider to be that perfect box that just works when you plug it in:victory:?

[Q] KF HD 7" Gen 1 - I seem to have lost root but still have TWRP topic

I can still get into TWRP,

I have the super user in settings and have allowed titanium back up although it says I do not have access to root.

I recently installed cynogenmod 12 from this thread. and it originally worked ( I had root access)!

The problem was when I downloaded Super su and updated the binaries, it went into a loop on the bootlogo. So I wiped and flashed again although now I had lost root access.

What can I do to get it back, or will I have to completely restart the process?

I am going to buy a new android cellphone tomorrow and after too much research LG G2 is the phone that fits my budget to its worth with specifications. So my question is after approx 1 year is it Still a value for money? Are there any issues i should be worried about? :confused:

So I've been on Lollipop for a couple of weeks now and I just don't dig it to be honest. Maybe in the future....but for now I miss KitKat and most importantly my Xposed modules.
My question is: is anyone still supporting KitKat? There are not many ROMs for this device in the first place....but is there a good CM11 ROM? Or does anyone have a link to Titan Prime ROM KitKat? Just trying to get a topic going. It's my secondary (work) phone so I'm not on it as much as my main phone and maybe that's delaying the learning curve. 5.x is OK...but I really want the Xposed modules and they are not working yet. [Q] Stolen Android devices that ares still being used - how to track topic

Long story short, someone came into our home while we were there and took many electronics.

One of them was the Galaxy Note II (ATT) and I see the device is still active and I believe it still accessing the google play store or syncing to my gmail account based on recent activity I can see from my gmail account.

How can I track the location from where this is happening? The police ares supposedly going after them after we found other clues but if I can get a location from where the device was being used, that would be a dealbreaker.

I have / had my gmail account setup and I see last time it synced. I'm not a pro at this but asking for help from some bright minds here. Can anyone help me out?

The more evidence I have for law enforcement, they won't be able to deny who I already know it is. I am looking for more proof to back up my accusation / discovery.

firmware upgrade encountered an issue, tried many options, but still stucked. topic

hi,
i was using my galaxy ace without rooting. once I switched it off, and tried to switch on, i found it stucked in the bootloop. then i tried factory reset/wipe user data and wipe cashe partition with the stock recovery. But it didn't help. it was showing process completed wthin 2 seconds. so i'm not sure if that process was actually completed. Anyway, it never helped.
then I decided to flash stock rom with odin. i tried to open download mode by pressing vol down + home + power button. but then i found that even download mode is not opening. then i searched over internet, and found a tool, 300k tool, which really helped me to get into download mode, and somehow i started flashing stock rom. But unfortunately it failed, and left screen with a error message "firmware upgrade encountered an issue. please select recovery mode in kies and try again"
then i installed kies, but my phone never connected with usb cable. it keeps showing that its connecting, and at end it shows a message that says reboot device. but rebooting never helped.

now i really dont know what to do. please someone help me.

Looking for a rom that still has S-Pen functionality but on stock Android? topic

been a while since I been here(from back in the days of my Galaxy Nexus). I just picked up a Note 4. I like it. I somewhat dislike the TouchWiz and hate how out of box it's using 1.8-2GB of ram on start up(assuming because of TouchWiz).

Is there any roms out there that run practically stock Android(pref. 5.0 Lollipop?) but still have the S-Pen suite enabled, including the part when I pull my S-Pen out it notices it and gives me that "Air command" menu.

One last plus would be something that gives me the ability to still use fast charge 2.0.

I looked up a couple of roms but unless I missed something they don't offer these features.

Any help? I have the Canadian N910W8 model and use it on Band 4 AWS/UMTS(3G) and LTE on various freq's so the radio would(should, preferably stay in-tacked)

Nexus 5 still worth buying? topic

I was wondering which phone to buy, and I'm in love with the Nexus 5. But the Nexus 6 has also come in the market and there are other options, but somehow my eyes are stuck on the N5. Should I go for it? Is it worth the buy?
And while searching over the internet i found moto x 2 nd gen to be a great option but somehow i still like the elegnant look of nexus 5,
But since it has been discontinued, will this be a problem is future?

So I'm asking this because I'm planning on returning my nexus 9 tomorrow and getting a replacement, because I have the following

Light bleed
Terrible battery life ( Max of 5 hours SOC )
crappy buttons on the side
The back creaks slightly

Is it worth returning or do you think I'll get the same issues again or maybe worse?

Hi,
I recently got a new Z Ultra GPe as a replacement to my old one. I had OS version 5.0.1 before but the replacement I received is 4.4 and tells me that my phone is up to date. I expected I would get updates but that doesn't seem to be the case. Does anyone know if the OTA updates are still around and if I should be getting them by the normal method (rather then having to manually sideload)? For my needs I'm ok with a the non-rooted stock experience so I don't really want to deviate from that (and I don't really want to void my warranty as I have had to rely on that already). Any help is appreciated. Thanks.
