umm......... i had a doubt : if we're gonna root a zenfone will the ota updates come? and even if they come, this means i gonna lose my root.
so will it also mean that i have restored mah warranty? might seem silly forgive me thanks in advance!!

I'm not good with my phones and Verizon corporate support has been quite lenient with me in replacing broken phones (sometimes with cracks on the glass too)

Is there any coverage that Google play store or Motorola store offer that would cover the phone in case of damage? Kind of like insurance. Looking forward to next wed

[Q] Flashing a rom and warranty topic

I have a Note 4 (N910F) which is currently on Vodafone in the UK.

I have been having issues with my battery life and one thing I would like to do is flash a stock rom to get rid of all the Vodafone bloat on the device.

Will this affect my warranty on the phone? I have heard stories about some sort of e-fuse on the device.

Do I need to root to do this? I want to be able to ideally get direct OTA updates from Samsung. If I flash will I lose the data currently on the phone?

Knox Warranty Void=1 and OTA's topic

Apparently this does not prevent OTA's. Like most, I didn't like Magazine UX or Knox so I flashed. Tripped the Knox Warranty Void =1. So I went to Sammobile and downloaded the July 2014 release and flashed it. Lo and behold, when I hit software updates it started downloading. Will let you know of my progress.

[Q] Return to AT&T State for Warranty topic

I need to return my HTC One M7 back to its native AT&T state when purchased to claim on the warranty.

I found a link that seems to be what I need but would welcome confirmation of this being applicable. I have a rooted, S-Off, CID (all the ones 11111) and running the latest firmware with the latest radio too.

I assume that if I follow the guide I will be able to use a standard AT&T RUU and get the full firmware, radio and ROM back?

As I know it is impossible to revert a tripped knox on an i9500 ...

But Today I switched to Note Edge, and I will hand over S4 i9500 to one of my family members so I just flashed I9500UBUGNJ1_I9500UUBGNJ1_I9500UBUGNJ1_HOME.tar.md 5 via odin..

And what i see now on the download mode is Knox Warranty Void : 0

I have rooted and installed unlimited number of custom roms. Is it really what I am thinking? My knox counter really reset itself?

If yes, how is it possible?
