I've been using facerepo.com to download some nice custom watchfaces. A lot seem to be for the Moto360 but seem to work fine. However they seem to have an ambient mode that just dims the screen rather than shutting off certain elements like numbers, text, etc (the LG stock faces seems leave just the hands). My question is, are these ok to use on the G Watch R? I change the watchfaces a couple of times a day and the brightness setting is on one (and I use Swapp True Dark). I know it might affect battery life a bit but am I safe from the dreaded burn in :confused:

I use a Samsung Galaxy S4 (SGH-I337M Canadian) and have for about 2 years now. I have rooted and ran custom roms the entire time and ran into little to now problems. I was on Danvdh's GPE Rom when I decided to try to encrypt my phone because of Canada's law where cops are allowed to search your phone if you are pulled over.
I left my phone encrypting for hours and it just got stuck on the boot screen and later messaged me saying encryption failed. I had to wipe my phone back to stock using Odin but when I reinstalled my rom again, my dialer app would become laggy and say I have no service and crash, my music app would crash, my video apps would crash, and on my stock samsung rom I couldn't use wifi. I have no idea on how to fix this and would eally enjoy some help. I tried all I could think of to fix this.

Today it's the third day with my LG Watch R. All in all I like it very much, although I think that the usability of the Samsung Gear 2 Neo (which I had before) is slightly better. After three days of using, I experienced some annoying bugs. Maybe it's just my fault, so maybe you are able to help me?
1. Sometimes the Watch doesn't receive any notifications. In this case my phone (Galaxy S 5) is blinking green because I received a Whatsapp message, but I got no notification on my watch...
2. Sometimes my watch doesn't vibrate, when I get a notification. (Although it worked before)
3. I don't understand, when the notification will be displayed in "fullscreen" and when it's just a small card on the display of the watch. I liked it very much on my Gear 2 Neo, that the notification are displayed in fullscreen while vibrating. Sometimes the LG Watch R does it similar, but the most of the time it only displays it as a card.
4. I can't turn the watch off, while charging it??
5. A Facer watchface stucks after several seconds. It only goes on, when I touch the monitor. Then it stucks again.
6. Is there a wear App, with which I'm able to read whatsapp messages at any time (and not only when I get a notification)?
7. Whatsapp again: Sometimes I see the pictures someone sent me in the background, sometimes not. I'm never able to see them as a real picture on the display at all.
I would be very happy, if someone is able to help me in some points. Maybe there are more people having these problems?

I'll be the first to admit that a large part of my rationale for purchasing the LG G Watch R was gadget lust as opposed to a logical cost/benefit evaluation.
Here's what I've learned:
1) I don't use the notifications nearly as much as I thought. Why? Because honestly it isn't that hard to pull out my phone and look. While the watch interface is cool, it is just too small to "do anything" with as with a small effort I could do that same thing much better on my phone.
2) A large reason I got this was to reduce distraction of looking at my phone while driving. Well again, the problem is, the text is so small and cannot scroll without two hands that it may actually be MORE distracting, not less. Also, I wear glasses to drive. Since I am near-sighted, I cannot see whats on my watch while wearing my glasses. So if I get a notification while driving I need to take off my glasses and take my eyes off the road to look. Hopefully while doing all this I don't hit a school bus full of somebody's babies.
3) Much of the notification work the watch does is already done by my small but powerful bluetooth headset. Text messages read, check. Turn by turn navigation read, check.
Funny thing is that most of the time what I find myself using the watch for is telling the time, temp and battery levels of my devices. Granted I don't go to a lot of meetings so getting texts surreptitiously on my wrist is not a benefit for me while it may be for others.
The #1 drawback (besides the price) of this watch is simply that I have to wear a watch. I have a ,000 Rolex that I never wear for work because it annoys me when typing. The LG G R has the same issue.
So anyway, if I had to do it all again, would I? No, probably not. What does intrigue me is the new idea of a small curved LCD notification attachment for the wristband of your current mechanical watch. Now that would be useful.

N9005 Lollipop+LG G Watch connection issues topic
Hey guys. Since I have updated to Lollipop on my N9005, i get connection issues between my phone and my LG G Watch after a few hours, always having to reboot to reconnect. I love the feature to mute the phone when the watch is paired, because the vibration gets to me each time, and I don't need the phone ringing.
The issue however, is when I put my watch down for charging every night, then I won't be able to hear any calls or messages.

So I busted one of the pins on my moto 360 the other day, I figured finding a replacement pin would be pretty easy, but I have been mistaken as I can't find them anywhere. I contacted moto support and asked about it and they said they don't replace that part but they will contact me within 4 hours with what they can do for me.
