[Q] Canadian coming to the US, need a little advice! topic

Hey everyone.

I'm coming to Arizona to study for the semester, about 5 months. I currently have an unlocked Galaxy Nexus which is almost 3 yrs old now.. although it has served me well while travelling in the past, I think I need to upgrade to something more efficient. I'm really interested in Sharp Aquos Crystal from Boost and just wondering if it would be possible to unlock it and bring it over to a Canadian network once I've completed my studies. From what I've read so far, it seems like it may be difficult to do, but there's so much information out there it's a bit difficult for me to navigate through all of it and I'm looking for an answer that's specific for my situation.

If it's not possible, or if it would be a big hassle to do that, could anybody recommend for me a good phone around this price range, that I would be able to use on both the Boost and a Canadian network?

Soo.. google is retarted in the whole country specific apps situation. I am dual citizen currently in the states for a long time and Capital One Canada just came out with a mobile android app!! Can somebody please install and use apk extractor to get APK then email to me? Thanks will be givin I have tried soo many ways to get this app... if there is any US apps you want id be happy to do the same!

Unlocking I747MVLUFNK2 (Canadian 4.4.2) topic

Hi! Stupid as I am, I updated a ROM to stock 4.4.2 and now I need to switch from Koodo to something else...problem is, that nothing works for this ROM.

I have succesfully rooted the ROM, but I believe it doesn't help anything right? I thought that flashing some custom ROM would solve the issue, but after doing some googling it seems it has nothing to do with that, right? What are my other options? Preferably free options... :)

I've searched and found various information - still not entirely sure

The last device I flashed was an S3 which I believe had it's own forum or was similar to another carriers device.
I've found posts suggesting a G900F based ROM would be compatible. Anyone able to give a brief insight or link to a post on this board explaining?

Canadian Phone thinks its a Tmobile phone topic

Hey, I'm trying to flash the recent canadian cm12 rom because the tmobile ones no longer work on them. Unfortunately it seems as though the phone won't flash them as it "thinks" its tmobile. While attempting to flash it says it can't as the the rom is trltecan and the phone is trltetmo.

How would I go about fixing this?

Just a question for Canadian Note 3 (SM-N900W8)

For the video recording fix for Lollipop ROM, it tells us to flash the LATEST modem. The catch is, since the first update to 4.4.2, there was no more recent update with the firmware and modem.
What modem can you recommend us flashing for SM-N900W8. T.I.A
