[Q] Non root write to external sd Lollipop? topic

Just done an OTA update to Android 5 on my UK sim free Lg G3 but I am still unable to move files from internal SD to external SD.

Have a lot of downloads that are taking up space and tried to use ES file manager to move a video to my 64GB micro SD card and it failed.

I thought Lollipop returned the use of the external SD card?

Don't want to root the G3 because the banking apps will stop working.

What should I do?

[Q] Fastnote cannot write on SD card & ColorNote stopped backing up also on SD card topic

Good day!

I'm using Sony Xperia Z3 and has been playing with note-taking apps Fastnote and Colornote.

Before, ColorNote writes its local backup to both internal and SD card memory (as you can also see on the backup settings it has both icons). But suddenly it stopped backing up on SD card, though it still backs up on internal memery.

Also this happened after I tried changing Fastnote's storage destination from internal to SD card, which while it has been successfully changed, it cannot write note to that new destination (SD card), but it does well on the internal memory.

What do you think guys? Any response will be greatly appreciated.

[Q] How to write articles (similar to the XDA Portal)? topic

Hey all, I was just wondering if there's anyway to write articles similar to the XDA Portal News artices. Obviously, I'm not asking to have articles that will show up at the front page of XDA, I just want to have a way to write similar articles and then link to them so other users can read them at their leisure. Is it possible, or do you have to be a recognized writer for XDA in order to be able to write posts like those?

[Q] "Flash write failure" : can't flash system/userdata ONLY topic

Hi,

I've got a very odd problem:
My Nexus 5 is rooted, I flashed it many times before, the bootloader is unlocked. This morning, it crashed, and couldn't restart. No panic, I launch recovery mode and go for a wipe data / factory reset.

Two hours passed, and nothing happened, it's stuck at formatting /data.

Still no panic! Let's flash that bad boy. I used flashboot to erase all partitions, everything went fine, then flashed each one of them one by one, until system and userdata...

These two give me a "flash write failure". I think it's probably because these two are the largest, and my flash memory would be corrupted or not working at all.

My warranty is dead since one week (yay). What should I do? Maybe it's not a hardware problem and then I'm in luck? :3

[Q] TWRP Manager screwed the USB storage write permissions topic

I used "TWRP Manager " Apply SD CARD Patch, and now it locked my USB storage write permissions. My apps cannot store anything now. Also I cannot paste any files to my phone from PC.

I even "Reverted the patch" from TWRP manager settings, but its not fixed. I have already did a factory reset.

Kindly help me.
