question: lollipop quick circle apps topic

I was curious, do those in other countries who have received the lollipop update from their carrier have access to quick Circle case functions on their android lollipop device? Also, I have used a few lollipop roms on my LG g3 such as validus, liquid smooth, cm 12 and have noticed that the validus rom is much slower to boot then the others. I'm not complaining at all, I'm just curious why some ROMs boot faster than others?

Not another whats the best ROM thread. Can you guys tell me:
  • What ROM do you use?

  • Since when?

  • Is it stable?

  • Is it KK or L?

  • Any compromises? Like a bug or less battery.

I personally like stock CM11S. Wanna see what others use.

No Quick Response Option for Incoming calls topic

Quick MagicMount Review topic

http://www.scosche.com/magic-mount-c...r-tablet-mount

I just thought I'd share that I picked one of these up (the sticky dash mount version... many options available) and it works great. I like that you don't have to permanently affix anything to your phone or case (depending on your application). I tried placing the plate both under the note's battery cover (which worked fine) as well as between the back of the phone and my diztronic case (which also works great and is how I'm currently using this product).

The magnet is strong enough to hold the obviously large note 4 without issue and regardless of speed bumps or anything like that, I've never had the phone slip or move on the mount.

Anyway, I'm very happy with this mount and thought I'd share. Happy to answer any questions if anyone has them. Thanks!

Note 3: Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0 topic

Hi,

Has anyone tried to charge the Note 3 with a Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0 charger and does it charge significantly faster?

The reason I ask is that our phone's processor, Snapdragon 800, is listed as supporting Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0:
https://www.qualcomm.com/products/sn...processors/800

The technology works by ramping up the charging voltage when the battery is low, and slowly reducing voltage as the battery fills up.
This is exactly the same technology which the Note 4 uses and dubs "Adaptive Fast Charging".
The latest Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0 chargers charge at:

12V * 1.5A = 18W
9V * 2A = 18W
5V * 2A = 10W
(voltage is reduced as battery charges up).

You can see the voltage/amperage of the charger written somewhere on the charger.
Chargers that are 5V/2A only (e.g. stock charger) are not quick charge 2.0.

This is not to be confused with USB 3.0 charging (which is only ~5V * 1A = 5W from PC), or 2A chargers (5V * 2A = 10W from 0 to 100%).

Our Note 3's chipset supports this, but it won't be very surprising if Samsung disables this on the firmware or kernel level.
If anyone has tried charging the Note 3 with a QC 2.0 charger, your input is much appreciated!

Quick Settings in Lollipop topic

just wondering what the consensus is on customizable quick settings. it kills me that lollipop doesn't allow this by default. is this something people care about having, or does anyone have alternatives that render these unimportant?

Quick review of Moto e Shockproof Rugged case with Belt Clip Holster topic

A QUICK REVIEW OF MOTO e Case , you can get it from amazon http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00.../ref=ag_xx__xx
I am not one for keeping a phone in a pocket most times. I like to have a holster, and I like having something somewhat rugged. I don't know if it's a holdover from my years as a grunt medic or if I realize that I can be hard on my equipment.

I ordered this because it looked like the best of the bunch. I also liked the fact that this is a young company and the product is American made. I am pleased with the decision.

The case went on over the stock shell and there is a polycarbonate outer cases that clamps over the silicone inner layer. There is a clever little kickstand that you can pop out if you want to perch the phone in a landscape orientation - I can see this being useful when I am listening to music at work. The inner case extends over the edge of the front - this should give the phone a little more protection. Sure, Motorola says its shock-resistant, weather-resistant, and sports gorilla glass. But why tempt fate?

The holster itself seems to be solid. It appears to be polycarbonate as well and swivels 180 degrees. The phone slides into the holster - my last holster had a spring clip, so this is taking a little getting used to - but it seems to work well.

The clip and case assembly holds the phone securely. I've run errands, walked the dog, ran up and down stairs, and did a little jogging this morning - the phone stayed in place.

Stylish? It's not some fancy leather case, but that's not what I want. It's perfect for most casual wear, and if I am working, I generally wear a suit or blazer so it's either covered or being carried in a pocket.

At , this is a fine choice for carrying your Moto E. A great case for what seems to be a very nice phone.

Is it possible to add, delete or move icons of the status bar quick pulldown?

[Q] Camera Quick Capture From Lockscreen topic

I have 2 potentially related questions about launching the Moto Camera app. After the Lollipop update, I haven't been able to use the twist/shake motion to launch the camera unless the phone is unlocked, and the screen is on. So if my screen is dark, or sitting on the lock screen, twisting my phone does nothing, except make me look stupid. Is anyone else experiencing this? Is there any way to get this feature back?

Potentially related, the little camera icon in the bottom right of the lock screen has also disappeared. Other posts about other phones say this is related to the quick start settings in the camera app. In the Moto Camera app, the only option is the twist quick start on/off setting, nothing about the lock screen. Does anyone have any suggestions about this?

I'm having several other Lollipop related issues, so I may just reset my phone, and hope it fixes it... :fingers-crossed:

Tenergy 18W Wall Charger with Qualcomm® Quick Charge 2.0 topic

Picked up one of the Tenergy quick chargers today.

Ran my X down to 0% battery, turned it off, plugged it in and began tracking the charge per 15 minutes. I've never used any other QC 2.0 certified charger so I don't have much to compare it to, but the following is my first use from completely empty:
15 minutes - 30%
30 minutes - 60%
45 minutes - 70%
60 minutes - 85%
75 minutes - 95%

[HELP Q ] LGG3 quick circle case topic

I've just rooted and flashed a custom Rom, candy5 5.0.2 on my D852 (see pic for specifics) . The one thing I can't figure out is how to get the quick circle case working. I've read that the quick circle case will not work on lollipop as of right niw, but I've also read a few posts that make it sound like some people have managed to get the case working.. Can someone, ANYONE look at my specifics and tell me whether or not I have to wait a while longer for the quick circle option. Better yet, if its available, can you point me in the right direction to get it up and running?!
