Can I break Carrier SIM lock by flashing a custom ROM? topic

Hi friends,

Have a Note4 Sim locked by carrier. Can I use some other Sim by root->custom recovery-> flash stock based custom ROM ?

Please suggest. Thanks in advance!

[Q] Can someone tell me what did I just break??? topic

Hi, so i bought new s5 mini and broke on tiny element even before I managed to turn it on. There is small plastic cover next to sim card. As I removed that plastic cover, this small element snapped right off. Thing is the phone works normally, I haven't tested all the functions yet but so far all good. Can someone tell me what it does and is it hard/expensive to fix?

How to avoid cold boot attack to break android encryption topic

Hello :)

Recently I've read about that Android encyrption can be broken using a tool called "FROST". The phone has to be cooled down and the bootloader has to be unlocked.
I'm not able to post a link to detailed information because I'm a new user, but ist very easy to find the official page about FROST on the web.

I just installed slimkat ROM on my LG g2 D802 using IOroot and AutoREC installer to get TWRP on it.
Now I would like to know: Is my bootloader unlocked after using AutoREC and how can I avoid that my phone is attacked in such a way.
Íf it's not possible I think I won't Need to encrypt ist.

Thanks for your advices :)
