[Q] LG L5 II No recovery mode CWM topic

I tried to boot my phone in recovery mode, but it just restarted the phone as usual
Afterwards I installed CWM and selected the boot in recovery mode option, my phone got into the recovery screen but it just freezes.
All I can see is a red ! and a android dude sitting there and the phone freezes
I have a E640 model version
How to fix this?

hi everyone,
I was runnning a cm11 nightly rom but after and update from cyamogen i lost baseband and imei. i looked up some methods to fix the problem so i tried to go through the steps and downloaded the stock rom and tried to flash it using LGflash Tool and Software update Kdz but both options failed. I also tried the lg flash tool 2014 version, which got the farthest, but also failed. The just gets stuck on READY and the KDZ method gets stuck on line 207. The 2014 version of the flash tool strarts the upgrade but then a message comes up saying "there is not enough memory in the phone".
The problem is that now the phone is stuck in software upgrade mode and it doesn't even go into recovery mode ( i had CWM installed).
what should i do?

Just received a factory reset refurbished t-mobile D801 running what appears to be stock 4.4.2! Tried to enter download mode to start the process of rooting by turning off the phone, holding Vol Up and plugging the phone into USB. The phone merely comes up with the LG logo, followed by the charge battery icon.

What am I missing here?

[Q] Can't boot to recovery or download mode, only to CM topic

I made the mistake of flashing a CM nightly on my tablet, because now everything's broke. I had it set up with CWM and SlimLP alphas which were running fine, but now everything's bunk.

I've tried turning off the tablet, but it just starts back up again without warning, even when unplugged. I've tried every power/volume combination at boot, but it only boots to Android.

I hopped into an Android terminal session and typed

which sends the tablet back to Android post-boot.

ADB recognizes it as an ADB device, but it will only show as offline, and revoking the UBS authorizations doesn't prompt them again later.

I've even tried Odin Mobile and UAMP, as well as ROM Manager, but they won't flash anything either. Rather, the things they flash don't stick after a reboot.

What do I do?

I was listening to music at the gym this morning, and I wanted to switch my phone from Priority Mode to All. (I use Priority Mode as Silent Mode because I just turn off everything and it only allows Alarm to come through, and I always keep my phone on vibrate so All Mode is my Vibrate Mode.) However, I couldn't figure out how. I ended up having to stop the music, wait a few seconds, press the volume button, switch it, then play music again. Seems a bit tedious to do, so was curious if anyone knows another way? Thanks.

i need help. i'm about to root my phone samsung exhibit II 4g but when i check the USB debugging mode and connect now my phone on the computer the "USB Debugging mode" is not showing in the notification (above the screen together with the battery, signal and clock) instead it just says "USB connected". So i always end up not rooting my phone after using zerg rush. I already tried doing factory reset on my phone and already installed samsung USB drivers. What should i do? please help me :(

M8 switching to dock mode and car mode topic

Have a S-Off Verizon M8 running Viper ROM 2.3.1
Phone has been running flawless until last week. It started to randomly go into dock mode. I can be playing a game and it will go into dock mode. Sometime it goes into car mode (a huge message comes up that I must agree to, I always disagree). I re-installed the ROM and also wiped all the cache and davlik (several times) last week and I thought it worked but it started to do it again. Today when I was talking on the phone it wet into dock mode as I was talking and went to speaker mode as well.

What is going on? Is this a software problem or a hardware problem? Would a full wipe fix this? Will a ROM without "DOCK" fix this? Do any roms not have this "DOCK" and "CAR" mode?

I really don't want to send this back to HTC but I guess I will if I have to.

I reflashed DN4 ROM without any mod this time. UPSM IS working!
Look at my SS below.
The steps were:
1) Add apps in UPSM Manager app/save/reboot
2) Cleared cache/data in Settings for
EnergencyManagerService, Emergency Provider. Don't clear UPSM Manager app otherwise the apps you added will be deleted!!
3) Activate UPSM and Voilà!
(You can only have 5 apps here)

Help phone call not working if in normal mode topic

I'm using eXistenz Ultimate 3.00. I cannot make phone calls normally. When i call, the call goes through but i cant hear the recipient nor can they hear me. However, when i turn it into speaker mode, i can hear them fine. I suspect its something to do with one of the settings as when i reset my phone and reinstalled the rom, it worked. But once i fiddled with the settings something went wrong. I don't know which setting is causing the problem or even if the settings are the problem. Please help

[Q] Allwinner A13 Tablet : volume +/- button works in normal mode but NOT in Recovery topic

Hi XDA! Happy 2015!

I was given an A13 for Xmas. After exploring, everything works fine. I decided to look at it's Recovery, in case I should ever need it. It was then I discovered that, in Recovery, the Vol +/- button fails to function!
When booted into Recovery, the top option, "reboot system now", is highlighted. Vol +/- doesn't move the highlight; thereby excluding me from selecting any other option-
apply update from ABD/ wipe data/ factory reset/ wipe cache partition/ apply update from internal storage/ apply update from external storage/ apply update from cache.
Also, in Recovery mode, there is a line at the bottom of the screen (written in gold colour) saying "E:fopen error /data/miraGSensorOffset.txt".

So, after the supplier refused to help, (I cannot supply them with the order id no.), I have reasoned the problem to be a software issue (as the Vol. button works in Normal mode but not Recovery).

I've decided to root & flash it myself; (I admit that I will have to learn this as I go, as I've only done my Wildfire S & what an experience that was!).

Root checker app says it's not rooted. Before I start though, I know at some point I will probably need to able to boot to Recovery whilst the tablet is off. The issue here is Vol +/- fails when the tablet is off; it powers on normal mode every time, so Recovery can only be reached by: Power on> Settings> Backup & reset> Recovery mode ("Reboot into the system in Recovery Mode. Can clear the data or system upgrade").

Is root & flash the correct approach? And if yes, what about the inability to reach Recovery WITHOUT powering on? Will this not become an issue?

[Q] Galaxy S5 (G900F) LTE Only Mode topic

Hello,
i want ask if its normal that LTE Only mode on my Samsung Galaxy S5 disables ability to use calls.
I have problem because my S5 is using mostly H or H+ connection in locations where LTE is available. When i choose LTE band preference it connects to LTE but voice calls dont work. When i choose LTE/WCDMA or LTE/GSM voice calls are working but after call its conneted to H or H+ again. It never prefer LTE.

What's wrong. Do you have same problem?

Hey guys hope someone can point me to the right direction or knows this problem:

Galaxy Tab 10.1 Wifi (P5110).

Device will only boot recovery no matter what. (both with stock or custom recovery AND stock or custom rom installed - tried all combinations already)

Stock rom has been installed with odin and pit-repartition has also been tried.

When I turn on the tablet it boots straight to recovery. On stock recovery it says something about update, then "no command" and when I then choose reboot system, it says error and powers the device off.

Please help.

I have a Samsung Galaxy Note 3 N900X Live Demo Unit which contains retail mode i want to know how to delete retail mode or keep it from coming back on to the demo video , i already tried going to config and entering pass to disable retail mode but that does not work. Is there any way to use it without retail mode or flash a stock rom without the modem file or something?
