Signal goes between full and none for no reason. topic

I recently have had an issue, and this only occurs on CyanogenMod (11 & 12). Basically, I'll be using my phone normally, but I'll notice my signal will go from full bars to no service every 30 seconds or so, it seems. That interval is to give you an idea. This issue does not occur on any other ROM that I've used (Cataclysm, PA, Rastapop, Stock, so forth). I've tried adding my APN as a fix but didn't seem to do anything. Information:

Sprint MVNO (Ting), running barebones CM, no gapps.

I'd love to get this solved, if anyone has ever figured this out. I've searched on Google and have seen no resolution, but have seen other's with the issue.

No signal after flashing rom topic

I met this problem before, and after switching to some new ROMs, problem got solved... but NOT this time.. No matter what ROM I used, my cellphone still couldn't pick any signal... I even ODINed to stock, still no help... I am using modem NG2 and a SuperS4 NG2 ROM.. I appended some screenshot of my mobile settings. Any help is appreciated.. what ROM/Modem should I flash now.... How is your Edge signal strength??? topic

I was having rather poor signal strength from my Edge. (no more than 2 bars at most) At first I was really concerned that the rooting may have some effect on it?? Or maybe even the quality of my local Vodafone. However after do the following steps....suddenly I get full bars (always):

Go to Setting --> more networks ---> Mobile network ----> change to WCDMA/GSM auto instead of the LTE/WCDMA/GSM

From what I have found, the mobile internet connection is still fast (dont see obvious difference with the LTE) and in fact it seem the battery life last a little longer. I guess I will just keep to this setting.

Hi friends I have lg f180L and its on stock 4.4.2 .....it was running fine but 2 days ago it started to loose signals....every time I reboot its shows network and full signals for 2-3 minutes and then goes to searching.....I have reflashed baseband and rom too but no luck...

Low signal battery drain topic

Hey all, firstly I'm running stock everything on my nexus 5. 5.0.1 with stock kernel and root. Using twrp however for recovery.

When I go to work I get really bad signal and my battery usually drains away (that's understandable) however when I leave work and head home to better coverage the phone stays hot (36°c) and continues to drain with "android os" having a large awake time. I usually fix this by restarting the phone.

I would like to know if there is any other way to fix this without a reboot? Sometimes it happens sometimes it doesn't, but it happens more often than not with the phone draining 10-20% per hour and staying continuously warm @ 35-36°C during idle.

Signal Issue topic

Hey guys, I've been facing issue with my s3 Mini gt-i8190n after i flash a custom rom. Meanwhile, while in the custom rom period i don't seem to get any signal at all so i actually flash back the original samsung firmware.

Now i'm using the original samsung firmware and i facing low signal and sometimes no signal issues.

[Q] remove second signal icon on mtk6592 topic

hi there,

i am new in cooking roms and i have a problem with the second gsm icon. i have a doogee dagger dg550 mtk6592 dual sim handy and i want to remove the second item if there is no second sim card inserted. i found a lot guides but no one fits for my problem. so i found another rom in which the icon is disabled (Lakandroid). i copied the SystemUI.apk out there and pasted it in my rom. this removed the icon but parts of the statusbar changed to yellow... :confused:

i didnt know where the the difference between the two versions is. there exactly for the same device (display is in xhdmi-format). can soneone help me please to find the error? i added the two SystemUI.apk's to the thread. SystemUIdani is my file and SystemUIlankan is the file from the other rom without the icon.

[HELP] No IMEI and signal topic

Hello guys,

Short version:
My O4X suddenly lost signal and IMEI, look likes hardware problem. But when I reflash with V20A kdz, it works then after few restarts, It happens again.
Any help will be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Detailed version:
- I was on CM11 nightly (20140923) for some time, it was smooth and no problem but then suddenly lost imei and signal.
- Tried to flash and wipe the latest nightly without luck
- decided to try the V20A kdz and it works again for few restarts (root and stuffs)
- Tried kdz without doing anything, just restart. After 3 restarts, lost IMEI again.

Hello! Long story short, I got sprint to unlock the handset for international use and sent it overseas to my brother. It worked for a while but then it stopped so he took it to a phone repair place and they messed with it for a while and couldn’t figure it out and gave back. Now I have the phone back in the US and want to use it but its completely effed up, theres no signal AT ALL.. its in the latest firmware NG2 I even ODIN the whole phone with the NG2.tar ..

It won’t respond to ##72786” it tries to pull the screen but everything is blank. The Status screen shows “unknown” to everything. The APN screen shows “LTE / SPRINT OTA” as otasn but its not checked and its grayed out so can’t select it.

What should/can I do? Please see screenshots. Everything works (bluetooth/wifi/etc) except the radio. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hey i bough an lg d855, i have werry poor signal strengt only at home, it can bounce from only emergency calls to 4 bars. I have tryed only gsm etc, any tips? I em stock and not rooted, my other phones does not have this issue.

Hi.
I have a Xiaomi Mi2S that doesn't connect to any cell networks.
I'm using CyanogenMod 11 nightlies, and after an update the phone lost its IMEI number. I had taken a backup of the NVRAM using EFS Professional, but when I looked for it the files where 0 bytes in length :( (probably a hard disk problem on my computer)
After trying a lot of stuff (installing stock MIUI, putting the phone in diag mode and installing a bunch of drivers), I managed to restore the IMEI number, but the phone still can't connect to the network.
I have tried a SIM from another company and it doesn't work. And my SIM works correctly in other phones, so I think that is not a SIM problem.

I don't know what to do... I tried flashing different ROMS, tried flashing a new baseband radio, but I can't get it to work! Is the phone lost???

Can anyone help me? I would appreciate it very much!!!!

i had installed unikat-v4,and v5 but the signal bar does not come but 100% without any distortion i can call use mobile network but the phone signal bar does not come its showing the icon grey but no bars in it i had flashed the modem of note 3 neo sm-n750 and the base-band version is changed but still the same issue in unikat rom but if i install bulldog rom or stock rom the bars come my phone is Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Neo SM-N750 [international varient] is there any possible way to recover it i am getting signal strength in dbm 1439 and asu 776 but no bars in unikat rom

Galaxy 3 T999N signal issue...??????? topic

I have a Samsung galaxy 3 model # SGH T999N.
It was a metropcs phone,but I got it unlocked and now using it on Tmobile network.
Every time I try to use WCDMA/GSM (4G), signals goes to NONE or there are NO SIGNALS at all and nothing works, such as no internet , no calls , no texts. But after a while signals come back ,but does not stay for long and goes blank again or goes back to ZERO.

In other words, I can only use my phone on GSM (edge) network ,but that is very slow.
I got this phone unlocked from a local store and I DO NOT KNOW which rom they used,but I do see a SUPERUSER TROJAN HORSE on my phone. Therefore, I think it is rooted.
When I tried to use SOFTWARE UPDATE, there was a message saying that my phone was modified....

Any ides how can I get full signals so I can use 4G network.
