Weird display brightness issue topic

Hi all, yesterday i noticed a problem regarding display brigtness: i saw that below 24% value, brightness is set automatically to 0%, i mean..i can set from 0% to 23% but brightness doesn't change at all, it's like always set to 0! Upper 24% it is ok.
It's nothing tragic but is still a problem and i don't see where i'm messing.
I'm running cloudyg3+dorimanx.
Any help would be appreciated.

[Q] Sony Xperia Z display problems after replacement topic

Hello everyone

It's been a while since I have had a problem with a device that I repair but unfortunately it has happened again today.

Today at 5 pm a friend of mine came by with his xperia z to replace the screen. I first run through the tutorial and see whether I came across something I do not know. Then I just started the repair and took my time to complete it. I finished at 19:30 pm. I also installed a new parts I've replaced the display and the on / off volume flex cable. After having successfully placed everything the most exciting moment of the evening followed, turning on the device. The 1st time I turned on the phone it worked so well. I did some tests and turned the phone a few times on and off to see if that would not cause any problems. But after 4 times the phone only showed the backlight. I have been through all the connections and also did an disassembly again to see if there might be a flex cable that is not properly connected but I could not find anything.

Now my question to you is fellow members, would anyone here help me or has anyone here had previously experienced.

Just got my fire tv in, plugged it into my tv and set it all up but noticed it looked pretty crappy display wise, I am using it on an older tube tv but it actually has a HDMI port at the back of it so it can't be that old right? ;) Anyways, the TV says its 1080p ready but I've never used anything HDMI on it before, is there anything I can do to make it look less crappy? I tried to go into the AFTV display settings to change them but its stuck on 'auto', it doesn't let me switch to any of the other options such as 1080p 60hz or even 720p 60hz, just says they aren't supported.....The TV also has component inputs and S-video if that helps but thats all.

hello there .. i once rooted my tablet and downloaded a certain app and on the app i saw something like "DPI" I changed the default value from 480 to 790 now my yablet shows veryvery large icons.which makes navigation very hard .. the navigation bars on the screen are too big till they dont fit on the screen.the when i go back to that app it doesnt show all the menu coz of the size.. help me pliz to restore my normal lcd density coz i have tried the factory restore and nothing hapens it is still the same:rolleyes:

first of all I want to root in Xe3 2212, I continued to follow the tutorial to ubl, the problem is after UBL, fastboot .img and install zip with CWM, after the screen stopped, then I press the emergency button on the back, the screen becomes blurred, shadows and dark :confused:

Hey guys i got a new lg g3 from orange. I just remarked something in strange. At first the phone display look so nice in the shoop having a little darkies tone and the photos where in a way a little more darkies in compared with lets say a note 4 or even htc one m8. It was nice not in a bad way by any means. So i order one and got it i was very happy about the phone but i noticed that the darker accents are not there, well i didnt knew if the light from the store was the problem so i went to the store and compared the 2 phones and its was a difference in the contrast of the display.


My question is can i make my display darker in a way. Its not about the brightness becouse both phones where using 100% of it.
Or do you think that the phone from the store has some problem or even mine.

Hey guys, I had a thought today of possibly getting Moto Display on the Nexus 6 because while I do like the Nexus 6 better than the Moto X, I prefer Moto's take on lockscreen notification over Google's ambient display. So is there any way to get Moto Display on the Nexus 6? I downloaded AcDisplay but I didn't really understand how to use it. Anyways, thanks all!

EDIT: Oh one last question, if it is possible to get Moto Display on Nexus 6, will it drain my battery? Again, thanks.

yesterday i purchased a galaxy tab s 10.5 lte model. i found the wifi automatically turns off when display turns off. i also changed wifi on during sleep settings to always. please help
my phone is not rooted.

[Q] XT1034 from GPE LP -> stock, display issues topic

I've converted 2 XT1034 to GPE 5.0.1 for testing and flashed back to stock using the following image:
XT1034_AWSRETAIL-CA_4.4.4_KXB21.14-L1.41_37_cid14_CFC_1FF.xml.zip

Since reverting them to the stock images completely using the same method as this thread for flashing all of the files the devices have graphical distortion while booting, or when booted into a recovery image. The distortion looks like old CRT monitors when you would run a fan plugged into the same outlet as the computer, a line 10-20px tall, the entire width of the screen passes from top to bottom repeatedly.

After the boot completes, if you sleep the device and wake it up all is well.

Does anyone have any idea how I might be able to fix this?

When a notifications arrives and ambient display is enabled it is showed in the display but it only "blinks" like 3 times. Is there a way to keep it blinking until notifications are dismissed without rooting?

OLED screen display lag topic

Hi all,

I've just noticed an issue with my N6.

When the display is off and I pick up the handset I get that OLED blacked out display (forgotten what it's called). Shows the time and notifications etc...

I had no notifications and it was the time only, time said 16:06, I pressed on the screen to wake the handset up and the time immediately jumped to 16:10 - so it's showing the incorrect time I can assume half the time?

Anyone else experienced this? Odd

Moto display turns on randomly by noise or any move topic

Hi, it's been two week or so that I'm using my moto x and I love it. However some issues make me sad, 1- it drain fast even in standby mode, for example at nights it drains more than 15 percent of its juice. 2- moto display is a charming function, but it turns the display on by any noise or movement, mostly when I'm driving, both driving mode turned on or off.

Anyone has the same problem here?

Lollipop: display turns and stays ON after charging topic

I updated to Lollipop this week and a serious issue I am facing is that the display turns ON automatically once the charging reaches 100% and then stays ON.

I keep my phone on overnight charging and finding it warm in the morning as display was ON from the point it was fully charged.

Any solution? This is a serious issue as it can damage phone and even charger. I am using wireless charger. Never had this issue with kitkat.

[MOD] Ambient Display For Cataclysm Rom - January 4 update topic

Hi, due to some of the demands on cataclysm thread I decided to create a thread for the ambient display mod for cataclysm.
For some of you the didn't know what this do is to enable the ambient display mod that is built in on lollipop(n6) but disabled on nexus 5.
Ambient display is the ability to wake up the screen via device pickup or a notification arrival although because of some limitations on hardware side it won't work properly via device pickup on our device but will work 100% percent on notification arrival.
