Exynos Note 4 - Black Screen Fidgeting aka "Compatibility List" topic

Howdy.

So I got the Exynos 910C variant working with the Gear, it's working wonderfully in some apps and getting choppy black frames on others. How has your experience been?
Seems exynos really can't handle the same load as snapdragon.

[APP][4.0+] Do Now - Task timer (Time blocking/todo list updated Material Design ) topic

Hi. I started work on this app back in April and got a little bit of feedback off here as I was still learning Android. I've learned a lot since then and in my latest iteration the highlights include adding Google Task syncing and updating to Material Design. The app is based on the idea of time blocking and focusing on doing one thing at a time while simplifying the idea of the todo list that, to me, always seems overly complicated. - Timed tasks with optional alarms and notifications
- Autocomplete remembers previous tasks as well as average duration and actual time spent
- Plan ahead or make it quicker to enter in repetitive tasks/upcoming plans by saving them as routines
- Complete tasks/pause/start from widget

- Re-order tasks and your timers will adjust
- Auto-repeat mode - completed tasks get re-added to bottom of list (Pro feature)

The app is broken up into simple lists:
- Planned - stuff you want to get done today and where you start your timer. Just hit play or set up a reminder of when you want to start. Synced tasks due today will end up here.
- Unplanned - stuff you want to get done at some point (brain dump). Synced tasks not due today will end up here.
- Routines - saved lists of tasks that you can load into either of the above lists whenever you want. This can be useful for repetitive tasks (every morning) or just for planning ahead. You can start the timer from within each list and the tasks will be loading into the Planned list.

unified Phone list XDA style topic

Hello XDA

I have been using help of XDA for a long time. It is a good source of help and information.
Lately I bought an HTC M8 for my daughter and I found that it requires bootloader unlocking plus some stuff that I find hard compared my Samsung phone.

May I suggest if XDA can create a sheet for all phones especially the new ones where they mention whether bootloader is locked and the difficulty of rooting and installing recovery and new Roms.
Had I known this about the M8, I would have simply bought a Samsung.

[REF] Cooperative ROM Spreadsheet List topic

Hi guys. I have created a spreadsheet to classify the new lollipop roms, and i want to share it with you.
There are several threads (thanks) for rom indexes, but this is a real-time collaborative one. I know, it can be a mess if people start deleting other people work.
Anyhow i will let the spreadsheet online for a few days. If nobody uses it or people breaks it, i will delete it.
Feel free to update it, add new roms, or post ideas. I don't guarantee any kind of support, the idea is to be collaborative.

I think xda should create a web tool for debdv's. Every developer could enter the main info of his rom, and we would be able to see it like a table. We could do filters for device, android version, etc. I think it would be nice.

List of Edge Specific/compatible Apps topic

Here is an incomplete list of apps that make use of the edge panel.

They are either specifically made for the Note Edge or trigger an action in the edge panel (i.e. are compatible).
For example, the app "Edge Navigation" is specific to the Note Edge while Spotify triggers the edge panel to show playback controls.

I thought it might be handy for new Note Edge users to have all the apps listed in one place.

I recently (re)started to play with my NSTG, and I did some digging in theses forums so I made a list with all the useful information I found here.
All of this helped me to make my Nook like it's brand new :D

CWM Recovery
Differents version : on the SD Card (128 Mb or 2 Gb), or integrated in the system, see here - XDA.
For launching it, just power on the Nook and press the two lower buttons (left & right) when the screen change for "Read Forever", and wait for the recovery

Kernels
Kernel installer via CWM : Download this archive file here and place the uImage and uRamdisk files in the /boot directory, then flash it.
