So i have the tmobile rom for a sprint phone to unlock gsm but now no matter what i try no fm radio ive been through the build prop got furnace kernal i know in my case its a software issue cause i hve the fm chip in my fphone any ideas how to reactivate the chip so i can listen again

Bought a Sony Z3 from Sony unlocked and using it on Tmobile but would like us my unlimited high speed data with my tether keep going over the 5gb limit. How do I do this. I used to root my GS5 on sprint but can't find info on how to do this on the forum maybe I am just not getting it with the Sony.

I had rooted my MOTO G cdma Boost mobile. it was working fine. Yesterday it got hang and I switched off it by long pressing power button. After that the phone is not switching ON. I then tried to reroot it using towel root again. The app then said my device was not supported. I have tried using the modstring but I can't get anything to work. Please help

So, I have an Xperia Z3, D6616, stock, locked bootloader still, and I'm considering sim unlocking he device for use on AT&T. Bought it on craigslist. It's currently locked to T-Mobile. Most unlock websites say not to purchase the unlock code for the device if it is locked to T-Mobile due to an unlocking app that T-Mobile installs on handsets that prevents third party unlocking. See attached picture. I'm an AT&T customer, so this is a bit of a pain for me.

Called T-Mobile, they will not unlock the device as it does not meet the requirements. I'm not a T-Mobile customer either, so there is no account history associated with this IMEI. I have a feeling that someone bought this device at a subsidized price, sold it new in box, and pocketed the cash. Now I have a fancy T-Mobile MP3 player and digital camera that won't play nice with my AT&T sim....

Has anyone successfully unlocked this device for use on another GSM carrier while originally being locked to T-Mobile without going through the carrier's unlocking process? If so, what website/service did you use? I'm considering selling this thing as it's a bit useless on my network thus far, being locked to another carrier and all.

[Q] Unlocked Droid Razr M XT907 VZW Reboots topic

Greetings.

Just this past week I was able to unlock the bootloader on my XT907 Droid Razr M. I've been able to use both recovery tools, CWM and TWRP. I'm also able to use RSD Lite to SBF to both the JB and KK with out running into problems. So then I decided to try the older CM 10.1.3 ROM, on JB bootloader, and I was able to get it to boot successfully, but my wifi was broken. So I SBF'd back to the KK BL, installed TWRP, did a factory wipe and installed CM 11 and the appropriate GAPPS. The phone booted up and I was able to click next through a few menus, then the phone rebooted. The same thing happened, it would reboot and I'd click through the 1st few screens and it would reboot. I tried the PacMan rom and it did the same thing. Each time I'd factory reset/restore and flash a rom. Does anybody have some ideas that I might be missing?

1) DOWNGRADE - Odin flash stock TLS 4.2.2 - supplemental GUIDE (thanks samersh72)
- Note: trips KNOX
2) ROOT - using Odin with CF-Auto-Root (thanks Chainfire)
3) UNLOCK - with RegionLockAway (thanks again Chainfire)
- Note: Do not perform the service menu thing (NV Rebuild...) it re-locked my device
4) ENABLE AWS - with AWS MOD (thanks zaryan)

Step 2 - Moving on up
1) UPGRADE - Odin flash stock 4.4.2 (thanks 0mega1)
- Note: Odin FAILed at 1st, do not unplug/reboot the device, wait and retry after the device reconnects (~5 mins)
- Note: resets KNOX, removes root
2) ROOT - using Odin with CF-Auto-Root (thanks Chainfire)
3) RECOVERY - flash TWRP with ROM Installer (instructions)
- Tip: Install APK with "My Files", CHECK the box for "Unknown Sources" in Settings > Security
*OPTIONAL* confirm that all features work (talk/text/data/wifi), reboot into recovery, make TWRP backup

Step 3 - The big leagues
1) FLASH - Pure Nexus 4.4.4 (thanks Danvdh)
*OPTIONAL* confirm that all features work (talk/text/data/wifi), reboot into recovery, make TWRP backup
2) FLASH - Google Edition 4.4.4 (thanks again Danvdh)

[Q] Weird problem with unlocked S4 LTE topic

Hi! first poster here.

I've just got this phone wich was recently unlocked from TELCEL MEX carrier. The weird thing here is that the phone work flawlessly with any domestic carrier sim cards, but not with my US T-Mobile sim card.

I've test this T-mobile sim card with other unlocked phones (Galaxy S4 i9500 and Alcatel Pop) here in México without problem, but in the S4 above mentioned asks for sim unlock code.

The cell phone is SGH-I337M with KitKat 4.4.2. and firmware CSC code TCE

I have been mulling over getting a Nexus 6 or an S5. Currently I have an AT&T S5, and I love it, but I am so over Touchwiz and the bloat of memory that I am losing my mind!

So, gonna give this phone away, and looking into getting a Unlocked bootloader S5.

My questions. What Model works best with AT&T's Network (all the frequencies etc.) and to add to that, what model also has the best support and upcoming support for Lollipop?
I've seen a few models that have a 1.9ghz quad core, and a 2.4(?) Quad core. but I am at a loss what I should pick up?

How DO You Take the Unlocked Padlock on boot screen off topic

ok ive rooted my gs5 and ive also have wanam exposed on my device and I was told I could remove that custom unlocked padlock on the boot screen with wanam but I have looked through all the options in the wanam app and I don't see this option anywhere so could somebody please help me out and tell me how to make this custom padlock on boot screen to be gone. Unlock bootloader: no problem.

Flash TWRP: I downloaded from http://teamw.in/project/twrp2/275, and I got an error about partition size mismatch, but that's ok, right?

But when I try to enter recovery, all I get is the warning screen that my phone is unlocked. The drivers are certainly installed correctly, and fastboot is working fine. I just can't get into recovery to flash a ROM!

Unlocked XT1060 on gsm carrier issues topic

hey all, this is new territory of this kind of messing around with an android phone so here goes

i had a DNA that i had working with t-mo no issues until the phone died (water damage)

in switching i got my moto x bootloader unlocked and has been working like a champ with working LTE except

1. stock motorola based roms work with the exception of text messages in my findings "my phone number" is unknown unless i patch it as a xt1053 or other GSM moto X

2. AOSP based roms (4.4.x) all have unknown phone number and will fail in sending any text messages , any 5.x based roms will show a phone number after an outgoing call but are not stable enough for me for prime time yet IMO

does anybody that has the XT1060 that may have moved it to a different carrier have any tips or directions of being able to use other roms with success?
