Camera Field of View topic

When you hold the phone horizontally , it captures a wider field of view than when holding it vertically. Is there any way to keep that wider field of view while holding the phone vertically?

I am using camvas a110 and running a custom rom ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2753241 ) downloaded from above link.
Everything is working fine but when i try to open the camera it shows the erroe "Cannot connect to camera". Now please tell me what should i do to use my camera perfectly.????

[Q] Disable twist camera with tasker? topic

I want to play Just Dance Now Chromecast app on my unlocked/rooted verizon xt1060 DE. The dance moves occasionally set off the camera and I get ejected from the dance room and my daughter starts to win :P

Instead of opening the camera and manually disabling the twist camera feature, I thought maybe rooted tasker could disable twist camera while Just Dance Now (or other apps) is open.

Can this be done? Any help please. Thank you :)

I'm looking for some ROM with camera that's better than this stock.

Before I root my phone and install maybe eXistenZ Ultimate | 3.0.0 I need to know if camera (Auto) on this rom is better or some other ROM?
I'm on stock 4.4.4 (10.5.1.A.0.283) With my XPERIA Z (C6603). Pictures on stock camera are awful taken at slightly reduced light. I know pics can be a bit better on manual mode with custom settings but I want to capture my kids without manual settings every time. I'm considering this eXistenZ ROM + Torch boost http://forum.xda-developers.com/cros...ng-z1-t2886705

If nothing, is there some news if sony will fix this problem because I see somewhere that other phones like Samsung have (Sony cam hardware) but pics on samsung are immeasurably better than on xperia Z.

Weird Camera issue. topic

I have the option to save my photo's to external SD which was working well until recently. So what is happening is, I take a photo and it appears in gallery but after reboot it is gone.

I'm sure this is an easy one for you, but any help would be greatly appreciated.

Changing default lock screen camera app topic

Been having difficulty pinpointing a solution to this,

what would be the best way of changing the camera shortcut from the stock camera app to the Google Camera one? Just prefer it.

i had always the echo app and it was great until last update that F_cked the camera app from the lock screen... try yourselves to open the camera from lock screen it open the camera not in the normal way.. i make foto and it gives me pop up after that to confirm or retry if i press confirm it opens the phone and close the camera app.. and retry delets the photo i shot... i want the normal easy way!! to have shortcut for the camera app the function normal as i open it from the home screen and to have full notification info on the lock screen... (when i get 10 meeseges on what app it will show me everything and not just 4 rigs... ) please does anyone know any good app as that??

I had gotten this issue on my Sammy S3 a while ago and I ended up having to do a full wipe to fix it. I do not want to have to do that to my N6. The normal stuff I would think to try is not working.

Any thoughts? Suggestions? :(

[Q] S3 Mini GT-i8190 LED Camera flash not working properly topic

My s3 mini's camera flash started not to work properly after installing a custom rom (or atleast I think that is the cause). The flash works when on camera mode but when it comes to video and assistive light mode, the LED flash only works for a minute at most. Is this already a hardware defect?

P.S. The camera flash still works at camera mode.

Anyone out there knows what my phone's problem could be?
I have also tried reflashing stock roms and see if they would work but has been disappointed with the results.

[HACK] Motorola stock camera for any rom! topic

Stock Motorola camera app you can install on any rom

This is a Titanium Backup file that allows you to install your stock rom camera app on any rom, like CM and others.
The camera looks and works 100% like stock camera, the APK it self is not modified in any way.

How does it work?
Download the provided rar
Unzip it
Put the 3 files in your Titanium Backup folder
Refresh/Restart Titanium Backup
Go to batch actions, chose restore missing apps
Select "Camera" and restore
TB will freeze and show no progress! this is normal and ok!
Leave it frozen for 20sec and then restart.
You should now have the stock Motorola camera app under system apps!

(Just please make sure you have allowed unknown sources)

Tested on:
Motorola Moto E with CM11
Motorola Moto G 2014 with CM12
Might also work on non Moto devices, but with absolutely no guarantee.

Camera app can't switch to rear after downgrade topic

Hi !!

I downgraded from 5.0 to 4.4.4 (always using same version :cool:) and the little button that you press to switch between cameras isn't even there anymore :silly:

I tried:
-Factory reset
-Wipe caches
-Reinstalling 4.4.4 (using 3 diferent versions, RETUGLB, RETUAWS and my NiiMX twrp backup, and always the same result) :(
-Uninstalling camera app usung Titanium Backup and reinstalling from store
-Using 3rd party camera apps

etc etc etc ... same result.

the switch button appears only if I install lollipop again :mad: And I dont want install it by now .. cuz the batery drain issue

Camera and flash problems topic

I have been having problems with my g3. The camera (front and back) will not start. It keeps giving me the message, can not connect with camera. I thought it was a bad camera but I put a new one in and it did not work. I have went through the camera cash and stuff like that with no effect either. My fash dose not work either for a flashlight or anything it keeps crashing. Any help?

Help: I need stock camera topic

I got a small issue with camera apps with Dynamic Kat.

- can not zoom in/out.
- there were only 3 mode: Auto, Beauty, Panorama; I also copy and replace camera apps by the one from another user using this ROM, or using the S5 cemera apps-ported for Note3 or install camera mode from Galaxy app store but can not fix.

Please help me to extract camera app from stock ROM so I can try another solution.
