App updates fail to install - "connection with device is lost" [SOLVED] topic

I was having issues updating some apps within the Gear Apps Store, the error message "Gear app not installed connection to device is lost" even though there was a working Bluetooth connection and everything was functioning normally.

I tried:

Rebooting both the watch and the phone
Checking and trying various comms settings
Deleting cache and data for the Gear App Store
Re-installing the Gear App Store itself

After a lot of head scratching I was resigning myself to perform a factory reset of the Gear S.
I got it to work by simply uninstalling the app that needed the update, (in my case it was one of the clocks) and then re-installing it. All now working as it should!

The error message is completely misleading and it will get you believing it's a connection issue which it clearly isn't.

I thought I would share this with you in case you came across this problem.

I have a problem! sometimes, when I open file manager (stock or totalcmd) and try to access the card appears "connecting" and the rotating circle and so I'm not able to access the SD contents.
I observed that it works after a forced rebut(long press power button).
Does any one encountered this problem?
I have latest official firmware rooted, custom recovery and the device is 9506

Data connection error topic

Throughout the day my data connection stops working even though it says it's connected in the status bar. If I toggle airplane mode everything returns to normal. Any idea what's wrong and how to fix it? I've reflashed a kernel, I wiped cache and dalvik, and I fixed permissions. I'm on DynamicKat and AEL kernel. Thanks for your help.

hey every one, need an advice !!

every rom i used, i had a wierd issues with bt connection with my car audio.
when i recieve a call or notification, after that the sound of the stereo becomes distorted and with noisy sound, i need to stop the music player and start it again, after i came out the car i always need to reboot the phone becouse its become silent.
another one is between connections with the car stereo (couple of drives) i need to reboot the phone couse it playing the music but with no sound from the car stereo. after a reboot its starts playing ok.
please, any advice !!!

So my WiFi is really slow but with a wired connection its fast. Is there some way I could connect to my router my lg g3 to take advantage of the speed or maybe to the computer.

Fix Google Play Store No connection Error ! in few minutes [ROOT] topic

There are many user that are facing No connection Problems on Google Play Store :confused: . Also sync is also stopped and this happens many times :crying: after resolving it.

So here is a quick guide to FIX/ SOLVE it :

REQUIREMENTS:

1. Rooted Android Phone :cool:if not you may find guides on or XDA.
2.Root Browser or ES File Manager :angel:
3.Brain (of course) :p

Steps to follow:
1. Open Root Browser grant SuperSU permission.
2. Go to "/ " or root directory.
3. Open etc folder, where you will find "host" file
4. Copy that file to some where and open it as TEXT FILE
5. Now erase all the text there type or paste " 127.0.0.1 localhost " without quotes.
6. Just Save it.
7. Now open your Play Store or Sync your Account. It will work!!!

Also see that if you have installed Freedom, then uninstall it and then install it again.

N9005 Lollipop+LG G Watch connection issues topic

Hey guys. Since I have updated to Lollipop on my N9005, i get connection issues between my phone and my LG G Watch after a few hours, always having to reboot to reconnect. I have had this problem both on the stock Lollipop, as well as Echoe rom (v21 and 22) and Arya Mod... any advice why it is happening, please?

[Q] LG G2 PC doesn't detect USB connection topic

I have tried on several computers, different ports and no help.
On the first connection to a PC not connected before windows reports "USB device not recognized" problem.
After that every time I connect the phone to the same computer the phone itself only recognizes that it is using USB charging mode, it does not recognize the computer connection (known by the USB icon on android system tray) even with "Ask upon connection option checked".
I have tried downloading Drivers for the G2 but still it didn't work.
And no computer seems to detect it.
Even when I manualy change the Android mode in Settings --> PC Connection from MTP to PTP or even LG software, nothing happens.

Definitely there seems to be a problem with the phone, but I don't believe it's a software but a firmware problem.
Please help if anyone knows what to do.

WIFI connection problem topic

My wife has a problem with connecting to our wifi on her S5. It either does not connect to the network or if it does it cnnot access Internet. The signal is strong and we have a lot of other divices (Nexus ones, laptops etc) which connect and work without any issue.
Some of the router settings are as follows:
Mode: 802.11b/g/n
Security: WPA2-PSK
WPA encription: AES

Share LTE connection via Tmobile tm-ac1900 router? topic

I'm between Internet providers at my house. I have the Tmobile tm-ac1900 router (the one made by asus).

Is it possible to somehow share my phones LTE connection thru the router to my LAN?

I thought that was an option of the router but I can't figure it out.

I hope this questions reads clearly.

Basic terms: house Internet is out, I want to use my phone LTE connection to supply Internet to my LAN through the router... So I would assume connect my phones wifi tethering somehow to the router as the WAN so it would supply Internet to my hardwired devices to the router.

hi .. I have lg optimus g E975 running kitkat ( not rooted ) it was working good but now when i try to connect it to any pc by cable it feels that a charger and the pc doesn't feel any connection i know there is pc connection setting in setting menu i tried every thing . i made factory reset from setting menu and hard reset all that doesn't work .. i opened the hidden menu and tried every thing about usb connection and the same problem exists .. and of course i tried different cables ...

Connection problems after ROM change topic

I recently updated my ROM from EchoeRom 4.4.2 to EchoeRom 5.0 on my Galaxy Note 3, and everything works flawlessly, except the connection to my Gear S.
When I try to connect, I get a message that I have to reset my Gear S to factory settings before I can connect. (See attached image)
Is it supposed to do this, or is there a way that I don't have to reset my Gear S to connect?

Any help would be much appreciated.

Hi guys,

Im facing the problem that I can not get onto the Play Store on my One Plus One 64GB.
I installed a modded play store, mainly by accident than anything else along with Freedom and since then it just doesnt work anymore.
Ive tried quite a lot to fix it but nothing has worked, any one got any more ideas what I could try.

So far ive tried
1) Clearing my host file
2) Clearing cache and data from google now launcher, framework, search etc.
3) Complete factory reset
4) System wipe, dalvik, cache and data wipe
5) Flashed Lolipop rom along with lolipop GAPPS.

Anyone got any suggestions? Would really appreciate them.

Loosing Wifi Connection, have to manually reconnect topic

As the title says, I keep loosing my wifi connection. Maybe a couple times a day and the have to manually reconnect. It remembers the password, just I have to tell it to do it's thing.

This problem is (hopefully) the very last problem that I have with this phone after I rooted it and deleted too many things without backing them up.

My first problem was exactly the same as the one I have now, with Google Play Store not working. Following the final step on this site...

I factory reset the phone. Unfortunately, I deleted some vital apps before this had happened, and had failed to back them up, among them was the home screen, which caused lgsetupwizard to keep shutting down and restarting. To solve that problem, I installed Nova Launcher using ADB.

My next problem was that all Google Play apps wouldn't start. With the store, it would start and immediately crash, with the others, such as books and newsstand, the loading circle would show and never go away. The solution to that was to download all of the Google Apps from an outside source and install them using ADB.

The next thing that happened was that Google+ kept starting on its own and crashing, forcing me to update using the Play Store which of course, wasn't working. The only solution that I could come up with was deleting it.

Now, I have some functionality of the other Google Play apps, with the exception of Google Play Store, which says "Check your connection and try again." which leaves me right back where I started from, except now I have Amazon App Store and F-Droid maintaining all of my non-Google apps.

Knowing that a factory reset is not an option, how do I proceed and get full functionality of the Google Play Store back?

avoid poor internet connection topic

Happy new year to everybody.
I just got this on a rooted gpad. Reboot, turn wifi on/off didn't work. I read about resetting to factory device or router. Before doing that, I stuck a static ip/mask/gateway/dns to the device and it worked. (If you long press the essid, 'modify', 'advanced settings'). Does anybody know why this happens? In any case, if anybody has a similar problem, sticking a static ip, you may avoid resetting etc.

[Q] PC Connection and SDCard ISSUES! Please Help! topic

i have a Verizon galaxy s5 sm-g900v COMPLETELY STOCK / NEVER BEEN ROOTED OR CUSTOMIZED IN ANY WAY - NOT YET ANYWAYS and i put my sdcard in and nothing happens. it wont recognize it, give me option to format or mount ... i have tried with several different sd cards that I KNOW for a fact work in other Samsung galaxy products. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!
Steps I've taken: 1. tried multiple cards/brands. 2. formatted a couple of them to see if that worked .... nothing!
The other, bigger, issue: When I plug into PC via USB is pops up "connected as installer" - I click there, go to the MTP/PTP options, click the MTP and it "connects as Media Device, but then immediately disconnects itself and goes back to installer! It'll do that back and forth for minutes, then Windows will pop up with the whole "drivers not installed/recognized device BS".
Steps I've taken: 1. updated ALL Windows drivers (Samsung are on vs 1.5.45.0). 2. Debugging / Mock Locations is checked. 2. Found a "common solutions" through an exhausting search on Google that had to deal with REGEDIT - no luck.

Redmi 1S lose 3G connection topic

Some months ago my phone started to behave strangely.

I have 2 sim card both for Vodafone. I use the data connection from the 1. sim.
Once i start a call from the second SIM card the phone drop the data-connection from the first sim(as expected) but after the call end the phone seemingly connect back to the 3g network but I cannot gat a byte from the internet.
I tried to switch between the cards and the result was that if I use the 2g in the second slot and start a call from the first sim the phone easily connect back to the internet after start a call.
also this is the case if the data connection in the 1. sim is 2g and not 3g.


So the main problem as i can see is that if i start a call from the second sim when i use 3g data-connection on the first sim after the call ends the phone cannot connect back properly.


If I turn on and off again the data-connection is not help.
But if i switch between 2g and 3g on the first sim the internet can be used again.

Please advice.
