How to put files through PTP? topic

Hello guys,

I guess I need help from you. I'm trying to connect my phone OnePlus One to FIAT 500 that features Blue&Me system. I've been at service several times and we just can't figure it out. All I want is to listen to music from the phone in the car.

Car radio doesn't recognize my OnePlus One. It says no source available. That happens if I'm in MTP mode. If I choose PTP, it recognizes it well, but there's no media found. And there's no media, because if I connect it to my laptop via PTP I can't create folders or put mp3 files in it. How can I fix it?

Additional facts:
I have Samsung Galaxy S4 zoom. It has internal storage that says Camera (PTP I guess) and MicroSD card. I can put music to Camera storage and it works perfectly in my car, while it doesn't from MicroSD.
If I try to put my USB stick I'm getting the same issue as with OnePlus One. My USB stick is in NTFS and I'm gonna try FAT32 soon.

I have a galaxy s3 connected to centos 6. I want to access the cellular modem. I have installed the android development kit and rooted the samsung s3. I can get a root shell using 'adb shell'. I installed busybox for 'microcom' but I cant get the serial port to work.

So i have the tmobile rom for a sprint phone to unlock gsm but now no matter what i try no fm radio ive been through the build prop got furnace kernal i know in my case its a software issue cause i hve the fm chip in my fphone any ideas how to reactivate the chip so i can listen again

So I bought one of these Motorola RZ100 for shipping included. It looked interesting and the price was right. and I was hoping it would work on my LG phone in my dashmount. It would connect but no mouse visibile or buttons. I decided to try it on the firetv stick and it worked. (note stick has been blocked from all updates, it has original shipping firmware)
I believe it has issues with non-moto 4.x android devices.

to sync it you have to sideload the specific settings.apk for the firetv
mouse moved rather slow and I could not improve speed. but heres why...no root. I can still install apps that just every so often need a mouse so it comes in handy.

I also recommend heading over to your local gamestop for one of these items. They also work as a mouse. I had to return 2 because they would not charge. Plug yours in at the store and verify the thing still charges. This are discontinued and you can use the web page to find a store that has one near you.

Greetings, all!

I would like to preface my question the way I always do when posting here: I am a fairly recently blind individual, and my visual aid software does NOT "play nice" with the XDA Forum search feature at ALL; due to this, sometimes I don't catch previously asked questions, though I do my best to check for them.

All that aside, I have a question that has been plaguing me for quite some time. I am what I would consider to be an intermediate(ish) Android user. I am dipping my toes into the pool of app modification and scripting, but I am afraid this is beyond my knowledge.

I am currently using a rooted "vanilla" Samsung Galaxy Note 4 (SM-N910T), running 4.4.4. I am expecting a barrage of "why?" and "what for?" comments, but I use two separate Facebook accounts. I am a part of a rather...underground subculture, and I prefer to keep that part of my identity separate. Due to this fact -- as well as my needs as a blind individual -- the usual suspects: browser windows, Seesmic, SocialCamp, Friendster, etc., do not work with my visual impairment modifications on my device. I have done extensive research on the subject and thus, I am searching desperately for assistance in cloning the Facebook app itself. I am thinking of cloning the Facebook APK file manually in order to run my two separate accounts. I know there are other apps that are frequently cloned, such as Instagram or WhatsApp, where the general consensus is to use the "APK Editor" app, but I am concerned about the implications that would have on future app updates and the app's signature and integration with normal Facebook features and other apps that connect to Facebook.

I have combed the web exhaustively in order to glean whatever info I could on this subject, but there is literally almost NOTHING regarding the Facebook app specifically. I do not wish to clone the app for sharing or to build upon it for a "new and improved" app of my own devise -- I simply wish to modify this for my own personal use ONLY.

I really appreciate any and all tips, hints, and shared knowledge in general that this community so generously provides. I will try whatever it takes! :) Thanks in advance!

Nexus 9: heat, chrome and battery drain topic

I've just bought a nexus 9 LTE, no light bleeding, buttons are OK and no cracking noises from the back. I was so happy.
Then I started using it: the back gets quite hot near the camera, not so hot to not be able to hold it, but annoying indeed! Moreover, it gets so hot just by surfing the web using chrome. This really drains the battery I guess and in fact looking at battery stats chrome drains more battery then the display itself. This is ridiculous.
I just can achieve 5h OST or a little bit more, not a good result at all for a tablet.

I've read thousands of reviews and seen a lot of videos: no one talked about these problems, then am I the only one?!? Well, they didn't talk about light bleeding and recessed buttons too, then maybe the issues I'm facing could have been easily omitted too. :(

I'm pretty sure that all these issues are connected to each other and they will probably be fixed in a future updates, but, come on, I didn't pay all those bucks just to be Google's beta tester. :(

Hi all. I have a problem on my 2.5 years old One x. It was time to replace battery with new one and i pick the one from One X+ 2100mAh. Firstly i cracked volume cable near connector and vibration didn't work at all. Ebay>new cable and still not working. Tested vibration motor with 1.5V battery and it's working. What could go wrong. I didn't try puting old battery because i can'tfind it :) Phone is rooted and running Revolution HD. No option in settings made it vibrate,not even vibrator apps. Any ideas guys?

I just rooted my Nexus 6 the other day and since then my data hasn't been working no matter what ROM I flash. I even went back to the backup of the stock ROM and the data still isn't working. I have T-Mobile. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Stuck at black HTC Logo topic

Hey,
Today I tried to install stock and downloaded an RUU while I had my older ones still there.
While I was trying to install it through the exe it showed Error 170, I tried it again so the same. I tried using my old RUU, even that showed me the same problem.
So I decided to copy the zip from the exe and flash it manually.
I copied the zip and got to the bootloader and then typed "fastboot OEM rebootRUU"
Then, "fastboot flash zip ROM.zip
It ran with some errors and the green bar on the phone stopped close by to the end. I waited for long and it still didn't move further so I decided to flash it all over again.
So this time I typed "fastboot OEM rebootRUU" and I get a black HTC symbol with 4 error symbol each in one corner of the screen. It goes no further than this. Such here.
Any help is much appreciated.

I don't really want to install cyanogenmod, cuz my phone is working great for now, but these two functionalities were too good to lose.

[Q] D802 not recognized with USB topic

Good evening,

I bought a second-hand LG G2 32go, and I realized that it had been rotted by the previous owner (while I had asked him if the telephone was "blank" of any root).
In brief, the telephone is never detected on any PC (tried on different 2, with various drivers) by USB (I just manage to see it in WiFi).

In normal mode (phone started), with the good parameters (Synchronization Media and Debugging USB): no LG tools detect it. I tried with several cables, several PC, several drivers.
I have access to the download mode (it is here I realized that it was rooted): still not detected by Flash Tool.
Hard Reset tried unsuccessfully.

The Android version of the phone is 4.4.2 stock, Pit version 3.4.0, Build KOT49l. D80220b and software version D80220b-EUR-XX.

I'm appealing to you because in my researches, I found cases of defective USB cables, bad configuration, or still " I found, that works !" but which do not share the solution :)
I had a S3 before, with whom I spent hours of research, but with G2, I am too fast submerged by links and too numerous solutions and I do not find myself there any more.

Then would you have an idea or a solution to help me ? I just want that phone to be detected by USB.
