[Q]Android Wear watchfaces on our Galaxy Gear topic

I just have some question. Can we port Android Wear watchfaces on our Galaxy Gear running on Null rom? Cos I think Android Wear watchfaces has an apk that is on our phone so is there a possibility to have this as a widget on our Galaxy Gear? TIA Guys :D

Gear FIT smartwatch topic

Hi guys, i dont know if i post this at the right place but maybe you can still help me out.
i googled this question but i cant find the right answer..

here is the thing, i dont take my note 4 with me to the gym (becouse it can easily fall out of my pocket while doing my workouts)
i usualy keep in in my car, i guess my car is parked + - 20 meters away from where i do my workouts.
will the gear fit connect to my phone if i dont keep the phone with me ?

Today brings news that the Samsung Z1 budget Tizen phone is about to be released released with Open Mobile’s ACL Technology, so that it can run android apps on tizen.

Do you think we'll be able to install ACL on our gear too? (or sideload as I'm guessing we won't be able to install through gear manager)

This way we could get the improvements and optimisations of tizen roms with the benefit of android apps! What are your thoughts?

[Q] Gear Fit Manager keeps crashing topic

Hi all,

First post here. I have a Samsung Galaxy S4 Google Edition phone I-9505G and just got the Gear Fit as a gift. I've been doing extensive research to see if the fit would pair with my phone. I am currently running Lollipop and the latest firmware for the Gear Fit (R350XXU0BNG2). I've downloaded the gear fit manager from this thread here:

I still get an error Gear fit manager has stopped each time the moment I connect properly with my phone via bluetooth. Any help would be much appreciated!

International Gear S on AT&T topic

I was given Gear S (sm-r750) as a demo device. I worked with an att rep and got the sim card and device activated on service, but my device doesn't connect to cellular or data. I worked with tech support to work out the issue and tried refreshsing everything on att's side and even changed the apn settings. I have a Sprint Note III. I'm not sure if that has an effect on the gear s being activated. Has anyone else tried to do this/is it possible?

Gear S died after ~2 minutes at the pool topic

I went at the pool with my Gear S to test if IP67 works fine. Unfortunately after 1-2 minutes under water (but not constantly) watch simply died. Water was under SIM flap and was also in speaker hole. I put it in rice and it's dry now but it's completly dead... Is there any way to fix it or should I use my warranty (I hope they will accept it anyway)?

Does anyone know where I can find a standalone email .wgt (I don't want to connect to my phone... it's apple... don't kill me)? :o

Also, an android launcher .wgt like nova launcher would be really cool! (I don't care about battery life if I'm running this)

The main reason my wife bought me this watch was so I could be sneaky and check my emails while I'm in meetings... that way I'd have more time to spend with her at home rather than answering emails until 8pm... I'm pretty much screwed either way, but my inner geek wants to make this work, and I don't like Samsung limiting what my property can do.

This watch can be a completely stand alone device, but Samsung has crippled it's capabilities in an attempt to force us to buy one of their smartphones. I'm not a big fan of these marketing tactics, and have made it my mission to make this watch do what I want it to do, and know it can do. I will not buy a Samsung phone just so I can play with my watch.

I'm a complete noob at this, but thanks to this forum, I've been able to learn quickly. I've been able to root the watch and sideload all of the apps i can find (and think are useful).

I still don't have access to download registered apps, since I didn't cave in and buy a samsung phone. I'm sure there are a lot of good apps that help increase the functionality of the watch.

I'm hoping there are some geniuses out there who could help me out with the email and android launcher questions.

In gear manager or on the gear itself, there is an option you can forward cell phone call in to gear S.
But I wondering if there is a way to forward gear S call to cell phone?

I have an odd problem. Before I used my LG Optimus L9 (p769) with carbonRom to pair with the Galaxy gear. I installed all the APK's and everything worked how it was supposed to. Well I stopped using the gear for a few months, and in that time it's died, and now when I want to use it again, it gets stuck at the "Connecting to gear" screen, which doesn't show the same spinning circle on the gear. I've tried many versions of gear manager including the latest, and the oldest version I can find.

Any help guys?

Hi Guys,
Firstly as a lowly user, thanks for developing apps for us lesser mortals.
I must admit that I am a bit frustrated that I can't purchase certain apps in the UK via Samsung Gear Apps because PayPal, my debit card & Vodafone all have a minimum limit & the apps are priced below it.
The problem seems to be with the apps that are either €uro or US$ based. The minimum amount for PayPal UK is 79 pence which is more than €1 or US which is where I think some developers in Europe & the USA have priced their apps. (Heart Monitor from the Netherlands is an example - cost 77p in the UK - below minimum acceptable)
Sadly I realise this will mean putting up the price a bit for people outside the UK but thinking positively it means the developers will earn more and hopefully developed more as a result.
The other option is for Samsung to buy the apps outright and offer them free to their Gear S customers? Tizen is, after all, a minnow in a large pond of ferocious fish and to gain 'full' acceptance and Samsung need to make it an attractive alternative!
