Question about CM updates on Indian version. [re:eek:TA vs Manual Updates] topic

I apologize if this has been asked, a brief search didn't show anything related.

So due to the recent development it seems like handsets sold in India won't be getting CM updates, but users can manually perform updates, correct?

Has anyone been doing manual updates over the OTA updates? Is the process tedious?
