[Q] Rooting Galaxy S5 Help and questions....... topic

Hey guys Whats going on. Well Ive had my S5 for a while now. And When I first got it I remember you couldnt Root the phone and One reason was it would Change or mod something with the Kernel. And doing that you would break your warranty on the phone. It has been a while since I rooted and installed Roms, since the droid bionic. Thanks again :D


Sooo did some reading and now see there is a Root Hack to finally Root these ATT S5 Phones... Can someone Point me in the direction on how to do this correctly?

I have a Kernel Version: 3.4.0 Tues July 22 2014

Android Version 4.4.2


I also would like to Try some Custom Roms. How do you guys Install Custom Roms?
Does we need to install Safestrap? Or any recovery Mod like that?

What I would like to do is get more from my battery as a Full battery barely lasts me a Full day at work.
