[Q] are they same, downloading ftf directly and using update service topic

I want to back up my original firmware that were shipped with my phone. Instead of using sony update service or sony pc companion, can't I directly download the FTF firware of my version(20.1.B.2.15).

I have xperia E1 dual d2105, 20.1.B.2.15
