[JB4.1+][GUIDE][LOLLIPOP-PLATLOGO]Guide to replace JB Platlogo with Lollipop Platlogo topic

This is the guide to replace JB stock platlogo with lollipop platlogo . It works on Jellybean. I doubt it will not work on Kitkat and lower ICS versions . For that you can try this guide which uses eggster app ( Credits for that guide goes to @Chetan Lodha ) . In this guide I'll show you how to replace JB platlogo with Lollipop Platlogo without eggster app . I wanted this because eggster app runs in background and consumes a bit of RAM from my low RAM device.


Tools required:
1) ApkTool (with JAVA JDK installed in your system)
2) Notepad++


Files Required:
1) framework.jar
2) framework-res.apk
3) build.prop
4) Lollipop-Platlogo.zip (Download directly here or from attachments)


Guide:

1) Decompile framework.jar
2) goto framework.jar.out\smali\com\android\internal\app
3) Open PlatLogoActivity.xml
4) Then find "JELLY BEAN" and delete the contents inside, within double quotes.

5) Now recompile framework.jar



6) Now Decompile Framework-res.apk
7) Goto framework-res\res\drawable-nodpi\ and replace "platlogo.PNG" and "platlogo_alt.PNG" with the ones you will find in downloaded zip attachment.

8) Now recompile framework-res.apk



9)Now edit your build.prop and replace

From:

Code:

ro.build.version.release=4.x.x

---

To:

Code:

---

ro.build.version.release=5.x.x

---

10) Lastly push all three files framework.jar , framework-res.apk and build.prop to your system and ENJOY!!
