flash-a-holics question about call quality between roms topic

I noticed if i ran fire kat and infamous call quality sounds better. if i ran dynamic kat it doesnt sound as good. I'm talking about in call, in my ear. then with both of the first two roms there is a little HD icon when in a call in the top left corner.

Anyone know why it is like this?
