[Q] Root to get AOA2 topic

As I understand it the HTC One M7 does not support AOA 2, I'm getting a new head unit for my car that does support and I'd rather just use my phone instead of copying all of my music to a flash drive. If I root my HTC One will that get me access to AOA 2? Keep in mind I've never rooted anything so have no experience with it.
