[Q] How to remove allocated data for the HTC Sync installer topic

Another issue with this phone, is that while it has the convenience of giving you the installer for HTC Sync, instead of it being a file you can access inside the phone, it is a section of the phone that is treated like a disc drive when you plug the phone to a computer. And the inconvenience is that this is taking approximately 3gb out of my phone, and I need that to store apps in the phone so I dont have to relocate then on the sd card and make a mess out of it.
Is there a way I can remove that craps out of my phone?
