[i9515 Value Edition] ROMS & Development - Recap topic

As there are a lot of users asking here and there about development on S4 I-9515 (S4 Value Edition) I thought to recap some of the most important information we have on this device and its development, and give space to further development, as there is no subforum for our model:

Roms for every other s4 models (i9500, i9505, i9505G, i9506) still DO NOT work on i9515: touchscreen, Bluetooth and wifi are unusable because of hardware issues. Touchscreen, wifi and Bluetooth use different modules than other s4 models. Thread about issues, Q&A:

Development is in progress to make a functional rom, and help's always needed for further improvements

CM11: WIP, @phil2sat is developing a functional rom, a lot of issues have been fixed, but Wifi is still not working.

CM12: when cm11 is completely fixed, cm12 will be introduces as well. Users report that, using cm11 kernel, besides over reported issues, phone shuts down when the lock button is pressed
