I'm trying to figure out how to read these cryptic software numbers. Here's what I've figured out so far:
G900: Model number. G900 = Galaxy S5
P: Specific carrier version of that model. P=Sprint, A=AT&T, etc.
VPU1A: ?
NK4: Android version release datecode. "First digit = year, Second digit = month, Third digit = revision"
1. What does the green text mean?
2. Are the model numbers (SM-G900, SPH-L710) just an arbitrary ID or is there a method to naming those?
2.1 Why the switch from SPH to SM from the GS3 -> GS5?
3. Is there a full list of the android release codes? NE2=4.4.2, NK4=4.4.4, etc
Thanks in advance
